a. Yes, I enjoy going to work every day because and the people I
work with and for.

2. What are three things you enjoy about your job?

a. What I do. Everyday there is an opportunity to learn something
new. IT is an ever-changing field, and the next day is not
always going to be like the last
b. The People. I work with a great group of people that care about
each other’s wellbeing and are always available to lend a hand.
c. The Company. I am fortunate to work at a company which has
great integrity and strong values always putting the needs of its
members first.

3. What do you do in your job?

a. I create digital solutions to meet the needs of my company and
its members. I develop online web-based applications and
forms to help our branch staff be more efficient in their roles. I
also manage the SQL servers and the web servers in our IT
department.

4. What is your work environment like?

a. 1 day in office, 4 days working remotely from home
b. 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday
c. Dress code is business/professional
d. In office it is an open/collaborate environment
e. 300+ employees working out of head office

5. Does your work have union or benefits?

a. My work has health and dental benefits. It also has an RRSP
program in which my employer matches my contributions
6. What expectations exist for your role?
a. To provide high quality work on time and on budget.
b. To continually upgrade my skillset so I can stay current with the
IT world
c. To server as a mentor for other staff with less work
experience/seniority in our IT department

a. You need to get a degree/diploma in programming/coding/web

a. Outlook Calendar – Used for scheduling work meetings
b. Microsoft Project - Used to managing resources and tracking
project deadlines
c. Trello – Online software used to track specific tasks that need
to be completed
d. ServiceNow – Helpdesk Ticket system used track incidents and
requests
