PROBLEM STATEMENT
Farmers dispute whether aloe vera or electrolytes is more effective in the raising
of chicken.

Objective: To know whether or not aloe vera or

electrolyte is the most effective medicine for chicken
Aim
● To ascertain whether primordial technique such as aloe vera is more
effective than the use of electrolytes in recent time

● To determine which medicine is best for the growth of chickens

Experimental Design

Dividing 50 chickens in two (2) separate batches, 25 chickens per batch. Giving
batch A electrolytes and batch B aloe vera to carry out an investigation to see
which is more effective.
MATERIALS & Equipments:
1. Newspaper – Cover the floor of the brooding areas.
2. Sawdust – Create a cushion for brooding areas.
3. Aloe Vera – Placed in the water for experiment.
4. Water – used to hydrate the chickens.
5. Electrolytes – Placed in water for experiment.
6. Feed – used to give the birds the energy they need.
7. Feed Pans – used to place feed in for chickens.
8. Waterer – used to give birds water.
9. Shovel – used to clean out brooding areas.

Activities
: Preparation of the brooding area - Place newspaper over the sawdust to
prevent birds from picking on the sawdust
: Setting up of foot bath
: Raking of litter
: Setting up of brooding
: Daily cleaning of waters

Interpretation of Data
Over the weeks of presentation, I've noticed the weight
of the chickens in batch A is more stable and increases.
After the six weeks’ batch A mortality rate is more than
batch B. Overall there were 7 birds that died, therefore
there were 4 that died from batch A and 3 from batch B,
therefore it proves that electrolyte is a better alternative
to give the birds, however aloe vera can also be used
because it wasn't far off.
Over the six weeks it has shown that the birds in batch
A are more than the birds in batch B, batch A was given
electrolyte and the weight was 4.3 pounds and batch B
was given aloe vera and the weight was 4 pounds so it
has proved that electrolyte is a better medicine for the
birds however aloe vera can also substitute for the
electrolyte.

Discussion
During the experiment based on the data that was
collected electrolyte can grow them properly however
aloe vera can be used as an alternative medication for
the bird because the Average weight wasn't far off.
Batch A weighing 4.3 and Batch B weighing 4.
According to
After the discussion you must have relevant literature
eg. according to John brown……….
