media post by the assistant principal.

The assistant principal, , notified me that (DOB: ) provided
information in reference to a possible school shooting at Holley Navarre Middle School. I pulled
from class and spoke with her.
stated the following:
On 03/20/23 at approximately 1600 hours, she was walking along East Bay Blvd with
( ) who attends Holley Navarre Middle School and (DOB: ) who
attends Woodlawn Beach Middle School. showed a screenshot from an unknown

Offense Description
Instagram account that was talking about a possible school shooting at Holley Navarre Middle School
that would take place this week, possibly Thursday. did not notice any specific time or date
stamps to validate if the post was new or old. said the shooting was supposed to of already
occurred but was moved to this week.
I spoke to the school resource officer at Holley Navarre Middle School, Dep Chau, and filled him in.
Chau interviewed and provided me with two screenshots that said is what saw.
I went back and spoke with . I asked her to describe in detail the post she saw.
stated the screenshot was from Instagram and was a black background with white letters. She
specifically saw the words “school shooting” and the initials “HNMS”. I asked where the specific day
information came from. stated verbally told her the shooting was already supposed to
of happened and that it was possibly going to happen Thursday. said told her she may
not go to school on Thursday and that school may get cancelled anyway. Alluding that the school may
be aware of the threat already. I showed the two screenshots I received from Dep ,
provided by , and asked if these were possibly what she saw. denied seeing
the two pictures before and said what she saw was something different.
I passed my information on to Dep Chau. I explained since and have conflicting

stories, I would reach out to Dep Sevilla at Woodlawn Beach Middle School and have him interview
. Dep Sevilla was able to get information from which corroborated what
was saying about a shooting being postponed and rescheduled. Dep Sevilla had some
additional names of male students, one who attends Holley Navarre Middle School. Dep Sevilla said he
would contact Dep Chau and pass this information on.
I called ’s mother, , and informed her I was speaking to and what the
information was about. I also reminded her of the P3 Tips app and to have install it on her
phone. recently lost phone privileges and did not have her phone. This way could of
reported this information sooner, rather than waiting to return to school.
completed a sworn witness statement which will be submitted to records.

On March 21, 2023, I was contacted by Deputy Psinas from East Bay Middle School in
reference to a student claiming there will be a school shooting at Holley Navarre Middle School
(HNMS) on Thursday March 23, 2023. Dep. Psinas advised a student at his school, ,
had reported this to school admin. had stated showed her an Instagram story
of a unknown person stating, “school shooting” and “HNMS.”
I spoke to and she provided the following statement indicating the following: was
hanging out with her friends and walking on East Bay Blvd on
03/20/2023. showed a snapchat post to and from a student, ,
she had screenshotted from March 5, 2023. The snap was a picture of a young boy holding a juice box
and with the text, “I’m feeling so silly I might shoot up a building full of people (multiple smiley silly face
emojis). also saved another meme with a brain pictured with the text, “Reach for the officer’s
gun, me every time I see school security” from March 12th, 2023. states she does not really
speak to , but her friend does. didn’t say anything about a school shooting
on Thursday.
’s mother was made aware of the situation and agreed for to share the
images she had saved.
I spoke to , and he provided the following statement indicating the following: had
remember seeing had posted in February about a school shooting but did not have it
saved. is not really friends with , but saw it on his snap story.
Dep. Sevilla from Woodlawn Middle School called and stated had stated the following:
, , and were hanging out on Sunday. showed her a few pictures. The
two pictures were the same ones provided with the kid and brain.
was a former student at HNMS and is currently homeschooled. Patrol was sent out to
the house to speak to .

On 3/21/23 I received a phone call from Dep. Psinas. He advised three students over the weekend we
talking, and one of them had mentioned she had heard about a possible shoot shooting to occur this
Thursday. The students were from EBK8, from Holley-Navarre Middle
School and from Woodlawn Beach Middle School.
I interviewed and she advised this weekend she was with and . said a
student named posted something disturbing on his Instagram. showed her ’s
posting of a brain with the text, “I’m feeling kinda silly, I think I will shoot up a school.” I asked
if she actually saw it? She said yes, she read the Instagram post.
explained got the information from who knows . told

he had planned on shooting up the school this past Thursday (the one before spring break) but there
were too many things going on, so he postponed it. said it was postponed until a week from
Friday (3/31/23). ’s plans are he and his brother to shoot up the front office and school
resource officer and then shoot up the school. provided a sworn written statement.
After interviewing , I notified Deputy Psinas what was said. I then called Deputy Chau at HNMS
and informed him what told me. I calle and left a voice mail that I spoke with
her daughter. I also notified Principal since it did involve one her his students as a witness.
All events occurred in Santa Rosa County, FL.

On 03/21/2023, I responded to regarding a threat assessment for

(DOB 10/23/2009.) Upon arrival, I knocked at the front and waited several minutes
with negative results. I then called 's mother, Rebecca Jones at at which point
she answered the phone.
Rebecca advised, they are currently in Mississippi on vacation but will be back in the next day or
two at which point I advised her to contact Sgt Metzler as soon as she arrived back in town. During the
phone call I conducted a preliminary threat assessment with Rebecca. Rebecca stated, is
currently home schooled and is doing well grade wise. She confirmed there were no guns/firearms in
the residence and the only weapons present were kitchen knives which she has stored in a lock box.
My BWC was utilized and video uploaded to Evidence Library.
This concludes my involvement in this case.

On March 22, 2023, I spoke to , and he provided the following written/verbal statement.
remember talking to from February 22nd, 2023 and saved a screen shot of the
conversation. had stated “He was going to bring a axe to school but his parents had took it
from him. was doing online school, so he wasn’t going to shoot up the school. also
stated he escaped from a psych ward and that he was feeling silly. stated he doesn’t have
anything else saved and he doesn’t talk to anymore. The last conversation had with
was about buying some shoes on March 12, 2023.
I spoke with and she stated she wanted her mom ( ) approval before
she spoke to me.
I spoke to and she provided the following written/verbal statement indicating the
following: had been talking to on discord about life. had stated he
wanted to end own life and shooting up the school with people that has hurt him in the past.
wanted to help by telling him to go talk to his parents or guardian. stated no one was
helping him. told him that if she can’t help him, then he must deal with this himself.
then blocked him from discord and no further conversations have been had. This occurred between

With the information provided, I requested a emergency disclosure request from Snapchat. Snapchat
provided a return with identifying indicators. Document will be uploaded to case.

On March 23, 2023, I spoke with s mother, ,a stated
she did not want her d ak to me. s hat the pictures from were
already given to Mrs. (HNMS principal). did not want her da to be
involved because the student in question doesn't even go to this school anymore. stated that
we didn't help her daughter in the past. The conversation ended and left.
With the provided information from the witnesses and Snapchat, I submitted a Snapchat Search
Warrant.

On 03/23/2023, I responded to reference to this case.
Upon arrival, I made spoke spoke with . I advised the reason for being there and
explained it was about some texts he sent. I first asked him some questions about himself to in an
attempt to build a rapport with him. He advised me he like to play video games and his current favorite
game is Dark Souls. After a short conversation, I asked him about the the texts he sent and proceeded
to show him the texts I was provided. The first text I show him was a meme that shows a brain, with the
brain saying "reach for the officer's gun" and underneath was a caption which said "me every time i see
school security". advised I then showed him the other picture/screenshot, which
shows an individual with a shaved head holding a HI-C drink, the message on this meme was " I'm
feeling so silly I might shoot up a building full of people" next to the message was several emojis, with
several of them being smiling emojis. I told this did not appear to be him in this message,
meaning the person in the meme did not match . He then advised
I asked if he had any intentions of carrying any of this out and he replied "no". I then
checked his room as part of the threat assessment. In his room, there is a large computer and monitor,
a bed and a guitar. There appeared to be no weapons in the room and this is consistent with what was
previously advised. I advised this concluded my part of the assessment. I advised his parents
of this and left.
This concludes my involvement in this case.

should be noted Snapchat uses a name to id the account to other people ( ) and the actual
username ( ).

I spoke to again due to the Snapchat username ( ) closely

resembling her name. advised that was her Snapchat name, however, she doesnt use
snapchat often. She also stated made the threats on both Snapchat and Discord.
For the sheer amount of snap exchange between and many others, please refer to the
search warrant return for more information.
Based on the information above, I determined did willfully violate FSS 836.10
Written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism;
punishment; exemption from liability. I am respectfully requesting a warrant/capias on .
