County of Santa Clara Quick Guide to Services

As a local government entity, the County of Santa Clara provides a variety of services and programs for
people living or working in Santa Clara County. Residents are represented by an elected five-member
Board of Supervisors. The District Attorney, Sheriff and Assessor are also elected. Appointed by the
Board of Supervisors, the County Executive manages the day-to-day operations.
