Camalig North Central School children especially the grade four learners are so
lucky to have this Cha-Ching Curriculum initiated by the Prudence Foundation, the
charitable arm of Prudential Corporation Asia produced in cooperation with Cartoon
Network, the leading children channel in Asia Pacific and with the backing of Dr. Alice
Wilder an expert in educational and child psychology.
With the different activities in the cha-ching curriculum, the children enjoyed and
learned the essence of the money concepts. They became more aware that earning and
saving are difficult tasks but need to be achieved. Without money they have nothing to
spend and hard to make decisions in terms of needs and wants in life. The children learned
how to spend their money wisely by determining their needs and wants.
Game boards played an important role in developing the pupils mental ability and
decision making. It gave the children the rush of rummy with a blend of dice for added
spice.
