MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This Memorandum of Agreement is made and entered into this ____ day of ____________ by
and between:

SEED MISSION, with office address at Golden Valley, Brgy. Sicsican, Puerto Princesa City,
Palawan, legally represented by couple PAUL and JOANNA (JOY) LAVERTY, and herein
referred to as, “SEED MISSION”.

AND

The BJMP-PUERTO PRINCESA CITY JAIL-MALE DORMITORY with office address at

Bgry.

Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City, legally represented by its Warden, J/CINSP DARWIN I
MOTILLA and hereinafter referred to as BJMP-PPCJ-MD.

WITNESSETH

Whereas, SEED MISSION and BJMP-PPCJ-MD desire to collaboratively conduct religious

activities that will benefit the residents of Puerto Princesa City Jail and help in the Spiritual
development of PDL.

Whereas, BJMP-PPCJ-MD is strengthening EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM for the residents by

providing various educational programs for them that will greatly help them as they face the
community after they will be released from this institution.

Whereas, BJMP-PPCJ-MD personnel have been working with various SERIVICE

PROVIDERS as its partners in the development of Persons Deprived of Liberty.

Whereas, SEED MISSION aims to teach the PDL what is to be good citizen, to love and
respect others as the Lord Jesus Christ taught, helping them grow spiritually, morally and
emotionally, and to bring out the reality of being a true disciple to the people around them-PDL,
family and community through the Bible Study offered every week.

Whereas, SEED MISSION and BJMP-PPCJ-MD desire to collaboratively conduct religious

activities that will benefit the residents of Puerto Princesa City Jail MD and help in the Spiritual
development of PDL.

NOW THEREOFE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the parties hereby agree
to collaboratively conduct religious activities within the Puerto Princesa City Jail and hereby
adopt and agree to the following stipulations:

1. The goal of the Spiritual Development Program is to help the inmates in bringing them
closer to God and nourish them spiritually while waiting the trial of their respective
cases.

2. The roles and responsibilities of BJMP-PUERTO PRINCESA CITY JAIL and SEED
MISSION as partners in this undertaking shall be as follows:

a) For BJMP-PUERTO PRINCESA CITY JAIL

a.1 Assist in fostering the cooperation and participants of the personnel

and jail residents in the religious activities of SEED MISSION.
 a.2 Provide an area/venue for the above-mentioned religious group who
will conduct the event.

a.3 Allow the religious group to use the available facility and equipment’s
of the jail in the related activity for Persons Deprived of Liberty.

a.4 Ensure security of the religious leaders and members who will be
conducting activities within the premise of the jail; and

a.5 Allow the service providers to enter the jail premise as long it was
properly coordinated and allow them to conduct religious activities that
are consistent with the bureaus’ policies.

b) For SEED MISSION

b.1 Conduct educational and religious activities for the personal and
spiritual nourishment of PPCJ PDL every Wednesday and Thursday (10-
12 noon)

b.2 Follow/observe the existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) of

the jail such as Policy on Visitation, DO’s and DON’T’s inside the jail
premise and other security measures being implemented by the facility.

b.3 Coordinate all activities of SEED MISSION with the Jail officials,
personnel, residents and other beneficiaries.

3. Upon signing hereof, the BJMP- PUERTO PRINCESA CITY JAIL and the
SEED MISSION through its designated representatives shall formulate specific plans and
guidelines that shall serve as basis of cooperation in the implementation of this
Agreement.
This Memorandum of Agreement shall take effect upon signing and remain in effect for a
period of one (1) year subject to renewal as may be deemed proper by the herein parties,
although it may be terminated anytime by any party for due cause due to violations of the
above-mentioned agreements provided a 15-day notice is served.

IN WITNESSED WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands and signed theses
