Dear Ms. Ramani,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you that my son, Chan
Win Lit from class 4C, will be dropping out from the IGCSE English extra class
scheduled on Saturday mornings due to time clashes. On Fridays, he would
have to attend his extra tuition for accounting as he is taking it as an extra
subject himself. For Saturdays, he needs to go to his choir to attend the
intensive lessons and classes as they are soon representing the country in July
at the annual World's Choir Games in Korea, one of the most important events
of the year. Thus, he has a fully packed schedule and is unfortunately unable
to commit enough time to the IGCSE class. After discussions with him, we, the
parents, believe that it is best for him to withdraw.

As mentioned, Win Lit has a lot of other commitments outside of school. He

also has a part-time job to pay for his own tuition, which requires him to work
late into the night. On the other hand, he puts a lot of dedication into his
choir, as he does not want to miss out won this rare opportunity to go out of
the country and compete at the highest standard.

Therefore, his schedule has become increasingly busy. Despite his efforts, he
has found it hard to keep up with the workload in the class, nor does he want
to hinder the progress of other students attending. He has been staying up
late at night, and there is not enough time for him to maintain a healthy
lifestyle or good mental health, which we, the parents, are also concerned
about.
We appreciate the effort that you and the other IGCSE English teachers had
put into the class all these years. We also believe that Win Lit has learned a lot
from those classes and has seen great improvement in his English level.

I hope you understand the situation and consider the request of him
withdrawing from the class. Thank you for your understanding.
