The study plan has no specified content, but it should demonstrate the learning goals and plans for

the study abroad period as much as possible, including the motivation for participating in the
exchange program, expectations, daily schedule, and more. Foreign language writing ability is also one
of the grading criteria, and well-substantiated content with concise formatting is preferred."

1. motivation
I enjoy different cultures a lot since I was a kid. After I entered NCCU, I have more
opportunities to interact with foreign students. I took part in many International
student parties and trips held by school during the period. I became aware of my
inadequacies in English and started seeking out opportunities for exchange program
in order to improve it. I deeply believe that being as an exchange student is the most
efficient way to practice English and make progress. Immersing myself in the local
culture and living in an all-English environment will enable me to achieve the goal.
Besides, compared with study tour and traveling, I think that being an exchange
student is more ideal since you can transfer the credits for courses which I study in
foreign school to NCCU. It won’t waste my time and I can experience different ways
of learning academic subjects. Last, studying abroad can be expensive especially
when it comes to the foreign tuition. Thus, participating in this program allows me to
save my budget and utilize my tuition at NCCU to the fullest.

2. learning plans
My first choice is Queensland University of Technology. I’m applying for double major
in the Department of Public Finance this semester, and the required courses for
Public Finance such as Accounting classified under the School of Accountancy and
Finance at QUT. In the period of exchanging, I would like to take the course of
Accounting and transfer the credits to NCCU. The reason why I choose QUT is
because it’s a top-notch university in Austria, and it is also placed within the top 1%
of Business Schools worldwide.

3. Expectation and goals

During the time, I will try my best to fit in the local culture. I would also like to visit
some well-known tourist attractions like Sunshine Coast. Besides, joining club or
participating in their extracurricular activities are one of my plans, I hope I can build a
close relationship with other students and keep practicing my speaking. Additionally,
I am excited to learn academic subjects from different perspectives that may be
completely different from what I have studied at NCCU. It is also what I’m looking
forward to. My main goal is improving my fluency in speaking English and learn more
about different cultures through this program.
