Distribution Strategy

Distribution strategy is the method used to bring products, goods and services to
customers.
For Doctor Chai, we will be using direct distribution for our online medicine
purchases for all over Dhaka. Direct distribution is when manufacturers sell and
send their products directly to consumers without the use of other parties and
entities.

Our app users can choose from our medicine catalogue containing imported and
local medicine. The items will be delivered directly through us and not a third-
party courier service. Our goal is to provide 24-hour medicine delivery as not all
telehealth providers provide medicine delivery service all night. Aarogo is a
direct competitor and they do not deliver from 12am-4am. We will use bikes
and estimated delivery time will depend on Dhaka traffic and distance.

In our survey we asked “Purchasing subscription can give you access to

different premium offers and facilities. Which do you prefer the most?”
And almost 70% people answered 24-hour availability.
Also 54 % people chose ordering medicine online as their preference.

Ambulance service is an option on our app, it will be similar to Uber’s feature

of available ambulance nearest to the patient’s location. In doing so, it is less
time consuming compared to a hospital’s ambulance. Patients will be carefully
dropped off at the nearest hospital or their preferred hospital.
Pricing Strategy

For our start-up Doctor Chai, we will be using a mix of competitive pricing and
value-based pricing strategy. Competitive pricing is when you’re setting prices
based on what the competition is charging. Usually, this strategy is beneficial to
most start-ups if used right. And value-based pricing is when you set your prices
according to what your consumers think your product or service is worth and
quality.

In doing our market research through online surveys we have gotten the result
of 500 taka being our most preferred online doctor consultation charge. We will
keep options of different types of specialists and normal medicine doctors
whose consultation fee will range from as low as 300 taka to as high as 3000
taka. As we are providing a platform for doctors to make a strong profile and
book appointments online, we will be charging 25% from their fees.

As for our discount subscriptions-

 Bronze subscription can be purchased with 600 taka per month, it will
contain 10% discount on the facilities consumers will be using.
 Silver subscription will contain 15% discount and with a monthly cost off
1000 taka
 Gold subscription contains 20% discount with a monthly charge of 1300

There will be bundles or packages that can be purchased for example on

women’s day offers for check-ups and at home testing will be available with an
exclusive discounted price.

As for our medicine delivery service, we will only charge the delivery fees
which will also depend on the distance and medicine will be market price.
