To help individuals and teams in being able to apply the 5 Languages of Appreciation in the

Workplace in their daily work settings, we have created a series of badges that you can use to
visually remind one another of your preferred language(s) of appreciation.

We know that visual symbols are extremely effective in helping remind people of concepts and
actions they want to take. So we have designed symbols for each language of appreciation.
You will find below badges that represent every possible combination of primary and secondary
language of appreciation.

If you just want to emphasize the person’s single primary language of appreciation, you will find
each individual symbol provided. However, some individuals have a “tie” – where two languages are
equally important to them. So badges are provided with each combination of two languages. These
combinations can also represent a person’s primary and secondary language. The combinations of
three languages are for those individuals who either have a “tie” for their primary language + their
secondary language, or who have a primary language + a “tie” for their secondary language.

So pick out the badge that represents your and your teammates’ preferred languages and print them
out for each person to display.
