Raya and the Last Dragon

Another awestruck movie produced by the company Walt Disney Studios Motion
Pictures is the Raya and the Last Dragon; which was directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada and
Don Hall and was released on March 21 2021. Disney's "Raya and the Last Dragon" takes
viewers on a thrilling adventure through a fantastical world inspired by Southeast Asian
cultures. The movie follows the story of Raya, a warrior princess who sets out on a quest to
find the last dragon in order to save her land and restore peace.

One of the most impressive aspects of the film is its stunning animation. From my
standpoint, the vibrant colors and intricate details of the world of Kumandra bring the story to
life, immersing viewers in a world unlike any they've seen before. The character designs are
also notable, I have observe that they are uniquely distinctive and visually striking from the
features of their faces, not to mention that they gave importance eve the minutiae of the
move.

The voice cast is equally impressive. Kelly Marie Tran delivers a fantastic
performance as Raya, bringing both vulnerability and strength to the character. As an
audience, I was able to understand and feel the character’s emotions on every line.
Awkwafina also shines as Sisu, the last dragon who accompanies Raya on her quest. The two
have great chemistry and their banter provides many moments of humor throughout the film.

However, as I see it, what sets "Raya and the Last Dragon" apart from other Disney
films is its exploration of complex themes—trust, betrayal, and forgiveness. The film does
not shy away from the darker aspe cts of its story, and instead uses them to provide a
deeper emotional resonance.

In general, "Raya and the Last Dragon" is a must-see film for all ages. Its breathtaking
animation, captivating story, and powerful themes make it a standout addition to Disney's
repertoire. With that, I highly recommend everyone it watch at any age.
