Abstract

Makeup Artist and turban booking system is a system build with appointment scheduling

functionality. This system was create to overcome and update the previous system which use

manual method of writing report on report book to record all the registration, services and

reservation. Makeup Artist and turban booking system is building to cover previous system to

be more systematic and efficient. This is because the usages of filling and manual record which

can make searching process for some record become difficult and take a long time.

The function of the system is produced to ensure the effectiveness flows of the system. Thus,

function for instances are Register, Login, Make Appointment, Reschedule Appointment, View

Appointment, and Cancel Appointment, view details of Services offered and Give feedback.

Introduction

Makeup is a cosmetics colorants and other substance applied to the skin to alter its appearance.

Makeup Artist is a person who applies makeup and prosthetics for theatrical, television, film,

fashion, magazine and similar production.

A Makeup Studio or beauty parlor is an establishment dealing with cosmetic treatments for

women. Nowadays it is easy to find Makeup studios any nook and corner in this world, as

beauty and fashion has become a great trend disregarding the age limit. All the Makeup Artists

are relying on their client; who visits the studio to fulfill their own beauty needs. Therefore it is

important to value the loyalty and the time of those clients. From the other side, to make the

Makeup studios services better and to enhance the good names of the studios, their

Artists/Employee’s satisfaction also needs to be fulfilled. Not only that the income earns by

selling services to the clients should be able to monitor by the studio owners. Using manual

procedures may pave the way for a variety of obstacles when satisfying client and Employees of

the respective Studio. Valuable time and money of the Artist and client get wasted

unnecessarily due to these manual dealings. These barriers make direct harms for the incomes

and the good names of the Studio.

Makeup Artist and turban booking system (MATBS) is aimed at developing a web-based

application with appointment scheduling functionality. This application can reduce waiting time

for each client and Artist. It will allow the client to set the desired time and date of appointment

with the Studio. Makeup Artist and turban booking system does not require human efforts to

maintain client detail. It eliminates the paper based work use at the Studio premise such as

usage of diaries to note down appointment. It improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the

Studio management activities, services and processes like maintaining client, Artist and

appointment etc. This software help website admin to see all detail in brief like Total number of

appointment, Rejected Appointment, Accepted Appointment, Total Services, This software

helps user to take appointment with beauty parlor on particular date and time. User views the

services which are offer by beauty parlor, User view the price of each service offered. The

Beauty studio offers beauty and Turban service which includes make-up (bridal, casual, crazy

and Accident makeup) and Turban making.

Basically, this online system is a system that facilitates staff to manage the data of the

customer’s appointments and services. The main function of this online system is to make

appointment, Reschedule appointment, View appointment, cancel appointment; view details of

Services offered, View detail of price for each services offered and Give feedback. The booking

for treatment and spa purchases can only be managed by Admin. The target users of this system

are the administrator, employees, and customers. There are 5 modules: registration module,

login module, appointment management module, and Services offered Module and Feedback

module. Based on three target users, they may use the same module, but with distinct functions

depending on their authorization level. Makeup Artist and turban booking system (MATBS) is

a computerized system which has been develops to replace the existing manual system.

My project uses MySQL and PHP to back the interface with strong database functionality. To

build the data tables I’ll use PHPMyAdmin, which is a web-based interface for MySQL. For the

front-end development, I primarily used HTML, CSS and JavaScript widgets to style the site

and create a simple, clean interface. To facilitate the process of styling the application, I used

Visual Studio.
