Caribbean.
 The Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico encircle the over 7,000 islands
that make up the Caribbean. Tropical paradises, coral reefs, and lush rainforests are
abundant in the Caribbean. Speaking of altitude, the Caribbean was largely formed by
volcanic activity. This explains why countries like Puerto Rico have stunning black
beaches. Volcanoes, though, aren't just a thing of the past in the Caribbean. Volcanoes are
still active on some islands, including St. Lucia and St. Vincent. Away from elevation,
there are several lakes and rivers across the Caribbean.
 There are numerous volcanic mountain ranges in Central America. Regarding bodies of
water, Lake Nicaragua is the biggest lake in the country. It is situated in Nicaragua, as
suggested by the name. The second-largest coral reef in the world is found in Central
America, which also has many of the world's rainforests. The longest river in Central
America is the Rio Coco, which flows through Honduras.

Mayan world in Central America.

colonial splendor, it is the intellectual center of Nicaragua,


renowned for its university, old churches, fine museums,
revolutionary history and student life.
