Hide and Seek


This is some of the more fun ways to plate a dish filled with various flavors and ingredients as it
creates an element of surprise for the consumer of the specific dish. This style involves hiding several
elements of the dish’s ingredients or flavors. It can be done by layering the various elements on top of
one another, making sure to maintain its elegance as well.

Scaling
This type of trend in food styling can add a unique touch in a food plating. It mainly focuses in
arranging food by following a pattern that looks like the scales of a fish. This technique can be done
using thinly slice of fish but you could also use potatoes, fruits, and petals. It may not be used in many
food plating styles but Scaling can add a fun and whimsical touch in your plate.
