4. VOID CONTENT
Assumed to be 20%
Void = 0.2
5. PASTE VOLUME
15 18 25
20 15 22
25 10 17
30 5 14
From Table,
For Well Compacted = 15%
Volume of Paste (Vp) = Volume of Cement + Volume of water
0.15 = Vc + (W/C)*Vc
Beam = (0.03 x 0.1 x 0.5) + (0.04 x 0.04 x 0.5) + (0.03 x 0.1 x 0.5)
= 0.0038 m3
Total = 0.01408 m3
Volume of Cement
Volume of Cement for 1 m3 = (363.46/(3.15 x 1000)) = 0.115 Kg/m3
For Required Volume,
Required Volume of Cement = (0.115 x 0.015) = 0.001725 m3
Total Cement = 3.456 kg
Volume of Water
Volume of Water = (0.32 x 0.0023) = 0.000736 m3
Total water content = 1204 ml
6. VOLUME OF COARSE AGGREGATE:
Volume of C.A. = 1 – (0.18+0.162)
= 0.65 m3
7. MASS OF AGGREGATE= 0.65 x 2.7 x 1000
= 1755 Kg/m3
8. AGGREGATE TO CEMENT RATIO = 1755/363.46 = 4.82
The aggregate to cement ratio should be between 4 to 5, hence OK.
Grading of aggregate :
4.75 mm = 30% of mass of aggregate
10 mm = 20% of mass of aggregate
12 mm = 30% of mass of aggregate
16 mm = 20% of mass of aggregate
9. GGBFS PERCENTAGE
It should be 25% of the cementitious mixture = 1000.1 gm
10. SILICA PERCENTAGE
It is considered about 5% of cementitious mixture = 172.8 gm
11. SUPER-PLASTICIZER
It is taken as 0.8% = 16 ml
12. POLYPROPYLENE FIBRE
It is taken to 500 gms for 1 m3
Total = 5.26 gms
13. COCONUT FIBER (COIR)
We have approximately taken as 5 gms.

CASTING PROCEDURE
Step 1:Mix proportions
Step2: Calculating quantity
Step3: Weighing the materials according to the quantity.
Step4: Mixing the materials manually.
Step5: Filling the mix in the moulds in 3 batch
Step6: Tapping with rod 25mm dia. for 30 Taps
Step 7: Curring in a tub fully submerging the samples.
