At this level the learner can:


A1 Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic
phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type;
Introduce himself/herself and others;
Ask and answer questions about personal details such as where
he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and
clearly and is prepared to help."

At this level the learner can:


A2 Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to
areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and
family information, shopping, local geography, employment);
Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and
direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters;
Describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate
environment and matters in areas of immediate need."

B1 At this level the learner can:

Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar


matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.;
Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area
where the language is spoken;
Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of
personal interest and can describe experiences and events, dreams,
hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for
opinions and plans. "

At this level the learner can:


B2 Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and
abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of
specialization;
Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular
interaction with native speakers possible without strain for either
party;
Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain
a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and
disadvantages of various options."

At this level the learner can:


C Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize
implicit meaning;
Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much
obvious searching for expressions;
Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and
professional purposes;
Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects,
showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and
cohesive devices.
A1
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At this level the learner can:

Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very

SPECIFIC TOPICS
A student has mastered level A1 when they can:

Introduce themselves and greet others.


Describe their city of origin, tell where they are from.
Describe their family and colleagues in simple phrases, referring to
their appearance and personality.
Buy clothes at the supermarket, ask basic questions and give a
simple description.
Talk about their favourite food and order food in a restaurant.
Organize meetings with friends or colleagues.
Describe the weather and suggest some appropriate activities.
Talk in general about their health and describe basic medical
conditions to a doctor.
Describe the location of their house and give directions .
Talk about hobbies and interests, likes and dislikes, interesting
activities and events.
Discuss common goods, do basic shopping, return faulty goods.

A2
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At this level the learner can:

Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to

Describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background,

SPECIFIC TOPICS
A student has mastered level A2 when they can:
Tell about different events, including weekend activities and
interesting stories
Describe their past, providing detailed information and the most
important milestones
Talk about their educational background and their present or most
recent job
Discuss their vacation plans and tell friends and colleagues about
their vacation after that.
Talk about nature and travelling
Talk about favourite movies and choose film to watch with their
friends
Discuss clothes (styles) that they prefer
Participate in meetings at work, discull familiar topics
Describe an emergency or an accident, ask for doctor's help, buy
some medicine in a pharmacy
Participate in basic business negotiation, greeting guests and
attending common meetings
Understand and express basic suggestions in the professional area
Discuss and explain rules of the game
Use simple connectors like 'and', 'but' and 'because'

Arrange a job interview in their area of expertise, attend a job


interview
Discuss personal and professional dreams.
Talk about favorite series, films and TV programs
Describe their education and plans for future studies
Talk about favorite music, songs and musical styles and trends;
plan a night out at a concert or listening to live music
Talk about healthy lifestyle, give and take advice regarding the
healthy habits
Talk about relationships, dating and meeting new people, including
communication in social media
Eat out in a restaurant, order food, engage in a conversation and pay
the bill
Participate in discussions, negotiation in your area or expertise,
being able to clear up some important points
Talk about polite behavior and react appropriately
Use simple connectors like 'and', 'but' and 'because'

Discuss relationships, cultural norms and issues around them
Talk about their education, advantages and disadvantages of
different educational systems
Talk about favorite books and suggest books to read
Talk about financial planning, give and take advice regarding
personal budget
Present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects
related to their field of interest
Explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and
disadvantages of various options.
Give their opinion, agree and disagree on such topics as news,
lifestyles and current affairs express abstract ideas

At this level the learner can:

recognize implicit meaning;
Express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much
obvious searching for expressions;
Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and
professional purposes;
Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex
subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns,
connectors and cohesive devices.

SPECIFIC TOPICS
A student has mastered level A1 when they can:

Discuss in detail issues related to success, including building a


motivated, successful team.
Talk in some details about art and the architecture that the student
like.
Discuss societal problems and their possible solutions.
Participate in discussions about environmental issues and
sustainability.
Talk about events and issues in the news and how they affect
society.
Talk about risks in life, for example changing jobs or doing
dangerous sports.
Compare and contrast various forms of education, home schooling,
etc.
Discuss various types of humor, including subtle forms like
sarcasm.
Discuss issues related to the quality of life, including work-life
balance and home environment.
