Lumpsum: it's based on a fixed contract sum, where the client shares with the contractor an
indicative BOQ and thus it's the responsibility of the contractor to verify and survey the site or
the required activities in the project. In the case there is deviation in the items and quantities
then it’s the responsibility of the contractor. The only exception is when the client send a
descope for a specific area or items/qty's.
costPlus: this contract is more of clients fixing a cost of the projects and requesting the client to
bid for these projects based on their cost of implementation, so the contractor will share the
cost of the implementation and share the markup on top of the cost. This type of project can be
also implemented in negative which means that the contractor will plan to save cost of
implementation and bid for less than the offered cost.
Day Work Rates: in this type of contract the customer would request the contractor to share
their manday/hour rate and the equipment day rate/hour rates. In this type of contract there is
a chance that the material won't be included as the customer might provide.
