Sirdar, Hayfield Bonus DK, 100% Acrylic,


DK weight yarn (double knitting or light
worsted weight); less than 15g in each
colour

Green: shade “Grass”

Cream: shade “Cream”

Tension 6 sts x 8 rows per 2.5cm square

NEEDLES & NOTIONS

A pair of straight 2.75mm (US 2) knitting


needles; minimum length 20cm

A tapestry needle for seaming

A few handfuls of toy filling

Two 6mm toy safety eyes

KEY

k Knit Row 3: K1, [kfb, p1] 8 times, k1. (26 sts)

kfb Knit into the front and back increase Row 4: P1, [k1, p2] 8 times, p1.

k2tog Knit two stitches together decrease Row 5: K1, [kfb, k1, p1] 8 times, k1. (34 sts)

p Purl Row 6: P1, [k1, p3] 8 times, p1.

RS Right side Row 7: K1, [kfb, k2, p1] 8 times, k1. (42 sts)

Rows 10 to 15: Rep rows 8 and 9 three more times.


On row 15 mark the 19th and 23rd stitches as a guide

Use the cable cast on unless otherwise specified, Row 18: P1, [k1, p3] 8 times, p1.
and leave a 30cm yarn tail for seaming.
Row 19: K1, [k2tog, k1, p1] 8 times, k1. (26 sts)
PULL THROUGH TO CAST OFF
Row 20: P1, [k1, p2] 8 times, p1.
Break the yarn leaving a 30cm tail, thread the tail
