Chapter 5

Summary of Findings, Conclusion, and Recommendations

This chapter presents the summary of the findings,

conclusions and recommendations based on the data analyzed in

the previous chapter.

This study was conducted at Mount Carmel School of


Maria Aurora,Inc .The respondents were the Grade 11 and 12 Senior
High School.They were selected using purposive sampling.

Summary of Findings

The findings of the study were summarized according to


the statement of the problem stated in chapter 1.

2.How do the respondents perceive the deterrent effects of

curfew management in terms of:

 Juvenile Delinquency

 Habitual disturbance in the community?

Based on the findings of the data 82% of the respondents


thinks that curfew management can prevent young people under the
age of 18 from committing crimes,70% of the respondents thinks
that most violators of curfew are juveniles,90% of the
respondents has a curfew management that is strictly
enforced,100% of the respondents are aware of having a curfew
management,82% of the respondents thinks that curfew management
can prevent us from getting involved in every crime,74% of the
respondents have no any records of juveniles crime committed in
their community during curfew hours,92% of the respondents agree
about the community guidelines “no sounds allowed” when the given
curfew time starts,58% of the respondents thinks that curfew
management is not effective

3.What measures should be adopted to enhance, if not maintain,

peace and order in the community in relationship to curfew

management?

Based on the findings of the data 92% of the respondents


agree that Officials needed to be more strict on guarding the
community, 86% of the respondents agree about the act of being
considerate when they caught someone violating the curfew but
they set them free, since curfew management is not that effective
the researchers asked the respondents about enforcement of
martial law 56% of the answered no,76% of the respondents think
that they needed to improve the enforcement of curfew like Police
and Soldiers will guard the community during curfew hours.

Conclusions

Based on the indicated findings the following


conclusions were drawn :

Curfew is a government order specifying a time during


which certain regulations apply.Curfews order all people affected
by them to not be in public places or on roads within a certain
time frame, typically in the evening and night time hours. The
researchers found out that curfew is not that effective and most
of the violators are juveniles or minor ages, and there is a
highest percentage of committed crimes during curfew times, so
the government needed to improve the implementation of curfew
management and be more strict than before, to prevent juveniles
in committing crimes during curfew hours.

Recommendations

This study revealed that Curfew management is not that


effective.The following recommendations are hereby presented:

1. The government should improve the implementation of


curfew management.

2. Be fair when it comes in violating, the violators should


treated fair and no biased.

3. Be more strict in the enforcement of curfew, and let the


Police and Soldiers to watch out all the community .
