CHAPTER I: COMPANY OVERVIEW

Introduction
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a broad impact on the healthcare industry worldwide,
it presents different challenges among healthcare professionals and workers. One is the lack of
access to healthcare services and this is critical to the system in preventing illness and deaths
from COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients. Even nations with a high supply of healthcare
facilities, cutting-edge technology, and sufficient quantities of healthcare personnel have been
impacted. Because of this, every nation and continent has had to modify their systems to provide
quick access and determine how to combat this pandemic. This pandemic increased the use of
telephone consultation that has been viewed as one way to improve patient access to primary
care services, which is something that is becoming increasingly important. Alongside that is the
rise of telemedicine which lets the patient’s healthcare provider care for them without an
in-person office visit.
Brought about this pandemic was the utilization of various applications that allow
customers to prevent them from going out of the comfort of their homes. With just a tap on their
smartphones, they could have the food or anything they want in front of their door in time. This
concept of having anything you want in front of your door is a great way to not only satisfy the
physical need of the clients but also their health. Telemedicine is a successful system during the
pandemic where people are limited to go to the hospital for certain services, but with this concept
that would allow them to have the care they need in the comfort of their homes, it would not only
benefit the client themselves but also help the healthcare facilities not to overcrowd. Through
GRAB A NURSE, clients would be able to have private nurse visits and services without a
worry to line up in the hospital just to get specific procedures that can actually be done in their
own households.

Mission
The primary mission of this company is to unfold a platform where clients can have easy
access to healthcare services and to develop a reliable platform creating income opportunities for
all of our partners.

Vision
To become an on-demand healthcare professional provider in the Philippines, improving
the client's quality of life and experience in the most convenient and accessible manner possible.

History at Current Status

The Philippines' healthcare sector is significant and is supported by both public and private
spending, which will reach a total of 18 billion USD in 2020. The National Capital Region, which
comprises the nation's capital city of Manila, makes up the largest portion of the GDP with an 8.399 USD
per capita contribution. Hospitals, which are further divided into privately owned and government-run
facilities, general clinics and laboratories, barangay health centers, which concentrate on essential
healthcare services, and rural health units, which are located in provincial areas and only provide the most
basic healthcare requirements, make up the country's healthcare system.

Large holes in the healthcare business, which experts claim may be easily filled through the
adoption of digital technology, have been highlighted further by the advent of the worldwide COVID-19
epidemic and its consequences on the Philippine economy. However, players in the healthcare sector—as
well as those in related sectors like robotics, data services, and medical devices—can find marketable and
financially rewarding opportunities in the country's diverse healthcare space. Telemedicine is one such
solution that gained widespread awareness and acceptance during the pandemic. (Dr. Benito Atienza, vice
president of Laging Handa Public PMA), emphasized the need for online consultation for patients. He
pointed out that people who consult online are less likely to have various illnesses in hospitals.
Furthermore, to assist patients with their medical requirements despite the COVID-19 epidemic.

The health expert suggested that the general people visit multiple Digital Online Consultations for
People's Healthcare (DOCPH). Every website has registration procedures that users had to follow. Based
on the doctors' and nurses' schedules, clinic hours are also mentioned. The Data Privacy Act safeguards
all information that will be provided. Healthcare practitioners conducting these consultations are
permitted to produce electronic case reports and prescriptions, according to the Department of Health
(DOH), whereby they also give referrals to other institutions that would meet the needs of consulting
patients . It reduces the pressure on hospitals and clinics caused by the COVID-19 crisis by offering
individuals national access to high-quality, telemedicine treatments. It is a comprehensive strategy that
guarantees that all Filipinos have access to high-quality medical care, healthy living, health literacy, and
protection from dangers and threats.

Product Description
Grab a Nurse is a mobile application wherein they can book or have a nurse to provide

the nurse to go to client place and at the same time to make sure the safety and legitimacy of the
place where the client is located.

Target Market
In the Philippines, access to basic healthcare services remains a major challenge. This is
partly due to the shortage and uneven distribution of health-care facilities throughout the country.
