I. Objective
A. Content Standard: the learner demonstrates understanding of straight and curved lines,
flat and curved surfaces and basic shapes.
B. Performance Standards: the learner is able to recognize and construct straight and
curved lines, flat and curved surfaces and basic shapes
II. Content
Constructing Squares, Rectangles, Triangles, Half Circles, and Quarter
Circles.
IV. Procedures:
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Drill
Say: Show cut-out of food items.
When I show an object, measured by gram, clap your hands once, if an object
measured by kilogram, clap your hands twice.
2. Review
Show picture cards as shown below. Let us compare the objects being weight.
3. Motivation
Sing the” Fruit Salad Song “
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
Present the word story.
Si Ana og Rosa namalit ug prutas sa merkado. Nipalit si Ana ug 500 grams
( g ) nga apple og si Rosa nipalit ug 3 kilogram ( kg ) nga strawberry
Say: the apples weigh 500 grams ( g ) while the strawberry weigh 3 kilograms
( kg ).
Say: In measuring and comparing different masses of objects we use the key
term such as greater than ( > ), less than ( < ) or equal ( = ).
V. Assessment:
Pinaagi sa pagsukod o pagkumpara sa timbang, itandi og isuwat ang insaktong
simbolo < ( less than ), > ( greater than ), or = ( equal ).
