Canadian Institute For Energy Training
Canadian Institute For Energy Training
Canadian Institute For Energy Training
Over the past 30-40 years, energy efficiency (EE) has been
successfully used across Canada by all types of organisations
to reduce their energy costs and increase their bottom line,
which also has the benefit of reducing their carbon footprint.
Particularly, the past few years has seen an acceleration of the
use of EE as a key tool in climate change mitigation action.
In this context, the Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET)
is the only organisation in Canada dedicated to enhancing the
skills of all types of professionals to ensure they can help their
organisation reap the benefits of EE. Indeed, CIET has been a
key actor and a witness to the incredible changes in Canada’s
energy sector since its inception in 1996. Throughout these
years, we have always been striving to provide high-quality, third
-party, vendor-agnostic and independent training programs so
that our clients and participants can be assured that entrusting us with increasing their capacity and
knowledge will make a difference in their behaviours, actions and careers.
Our growing team works hard every day to ensure that the more than 100 training sessions offered from
coast to coast in both official languages annually run smoothly and provide unique experiences and
pragmatic knowledge to our loyal clients. We notably count on arguably the most capable, diverse and
recognised team of energy efficiency experts in Canada to deliver training programs covering a wide
variety of subjects.
This brochure has been prepared to provide you with the necessary information to select which of our
training programs is right for you. It is also aimed at assisting you to understand the breadth of energy
efficiency topics so that we can help you tailor a training program for your team. If you have questions,
our team of customer service and business development staff will be more than pleased to assist you in
understanding which learning path is right for you. They will explain how CIET can support you in
reaching your professional development goals through public, private or custom training.
Join our growing cohort of more than 2,000 Canadians attending CIET training sessions each year and
help ensure we have a more energy-efficient, operationally effective, and sustainable future.
Sincerely,
Mathieu Côte

and pragmatic learning experiences possible to meet both
organisational and individual learning objectives. This often involves
providing training to organisations when and where it is required. On site
