PRINCIPLE PLAN IN APPLYING THE PRINCIPLES IN

YOUR CLASSROOM ASSESSMENT

1. ASSESSMENT IS BOTH PROCESS- In two groups, I will prepare a panel
AND PRODUCT- ORIENTED. discussion. Letting my students to pick
a specific issue that appears on news
report, and engage both the opposing
parties in discussion. But before that, I
will give first the corresponding criteria
how I will give them points followed by
its allotted time.
2. ASSESSMENT SHOULD FOCUS Before the class discussion starts, I will
ON HIGHER-ORDER COGNITIVE flash some random pictures that is
OUTCOMES. connected on our next topic. Each
student will be given a one minute
preparation and two minutes for
discussion or delivery of ideas.
Through this, they can talk anything
what comes first on their minds.
3. ASSESSMENT CAN INCLUDE A Dividing the class into 5 groups, each
MEASURE OF NONCOGNITIVE group will be able to pick random
LEARNING OUTCOMES. activities that will showcase their skills
and talents just like drawing, acting,
singing, writing a poems, and such in
the class. Through this, I can
determine the skills-based.
4. ASSESSMENT SHOULD REFLECT I intend to have an activity where
REAL LIFE OR REAL WORLD actual experiences are being displayed
CONTEXTS. and portrayed by them. I will group
the class in 3 groups and each group
will be assigned to make a short film
that aligns in their real life situation as
a student.
5. ASSESSMENT MUST BE Learners should have the ability to
COMPREHEMSIVE HOLISTIC. articulately defend their positions and
respond to specific issues posed by the
opposing group. Divide the class into
two groups, I will give a issue that is
relevant to the lesson and each group
will defend their stand.
6. ASSESSMENT SHOULD LEAD TO I will divide the class in 2 groups and
STUDENT LEARNING. each group will conduct a role play
activity that will portray the certain
topic assigned to them so that they
will be able to express and execute
themselves freely. After that, they are
encouraged to share their thoughts
and reflections on their outputs in the
class. This is student centered activity
because the learners are able to
choose on how they will construct
their ideas.

REFLECTION
1. Examine the assessment plan you have developed. Are
you satisfied with it?
- YES!
2. Is there something you want to change or improve in the
assessment plan? Why?
- There’s nothing we want to change in our assessment
plan because we did this based from our
understanding and knowledge and we believed that
this is very useful for the students’ learning. Yet we’re
open to any suggestions and recommendations from
people who are more knowledgeable for the
improvement of our assessment plan.
3. Which among the principles did you find easy to illustrate
in the way you planned your assessment? Why?
- The assessment should reflect real-life or real world
contexts, or it is called Authentic Assessment. We
found this principle easy to illustrate in our assessment
plan because this assessment will help the learners to
learned by their own skills even if it is inside or outside
the classroom. Although all the principles will help the
learners but the easy way to illustrate is the
assessment should reflect real-life or real-world
contexts because, it teaches the learners to become
creative in different ways and also the more they
experience it, the more they learn well.
4. Which among the principles did you find difficult to
illustrate in the way you planned your assessment? Why?
- We found the principle ‘Assessment must be
comprehensive and holistic’ difficult to illustrate in our
assessment plan for the reason that this principle is
vague and it needs more aspect to determine knowing
that in making an assessment plan, it is necessary to be
more specific in planning assessment to easily
determine its targeted objectives.
5. How did the activity help you understand the assessment
of learning using alternative methods?
- I found alternative method as an effective method for
the learners because the process of learning is done in
unique and beneficial ways.
