made to hose the surfactant chemicals and pipe the surfactant into the water spray
system.
5.2.1.2 Spray bar inside chute area in transfer tower shall be removable so that the nozzles
cleaning and replacement can be done outside of the duct.
5.2.1.3 Nozzle arrangement shall be such that dust suppressant sprayed reaches to maximum
sulfur granules.
5.2.1.4 To minimize chemical consumption and avoid wastage, spray pattern and orientation shall
be designed to direct chemical to Sulfur granules on the belts (not on the empty belt).
5.2.1.5 At all transfer points, select spray nozzles to add 150 liters per minute (40 GPM) minimum
at each transfer point when there is product on the belt.
5.2.1.6 Provide automated flow control valves based on the monitoring of Sulfur material flow rate
to adjust the moisture and to provide good aspersion when operating in high capacity.
5.2.1.7 On mobile equipment, the spray system shall be complete with 0.7 MPa pump, solenoids
in cabinet, electrical controls in a cabinet, distribution ports, tubing and hoses.
5.2.1.8 Mobile equipment shall be equipped with a water hose reel sized to permit the machine to
travel from the water connection at grade to the farthest travel limit.
5.2.1.9 Drainage valves shall be provided at low points of the system.
5.2.1.10 Piping and fittings shall comply with PROJECT’s specification.
5.2.1.11 Coating systems shall be in accordance with the applicable project painting specifications.
5.2.1.12 The dust suppression system shall be activated with presence of sulfur on the belting
controlled by an ultrasonic flow sensor or belt scale.
5.2.1.13 Banks of nozzles or individual nozzles shall be installed to allow for ease of maintenance
and sealed for efficient and effective dust prevention.
5.3.1 After final inspection components shall be packed for transport to the project site as follows:
