The purpose of the Student Tablet Guide is to provide students with the essential guidelines to
ensure the proper use and care of tablets at SABIS® Network schools.
It is important that students read, understand, and abide by the policies and procedures set out
in this guide

tablet to operate smoothly.

Students should bring their tablets to school daily unless instructed otherwise.
Students should bring their tablets fully charged to school every day.
3. The storage or use of inappropriate content on your tablet is forbidden. Inappropriate
content includes, but is not limited to: guns, weapons, obscene material, inappropriate
language, alcohol, drug, and gang-related symbols or pictures.
The tablet must be on mute at all times unless permission is obtained from the teacher.
Music is not allowed to be played on the tablet during school hours unless permission is
obtained from the teacher.
6. Students are not allowed to play games on their tablets during school hours.
The camera or microphone on the tablet should not be used by students in school
without permission. Any use of the camera/microphone to photograph, film, or record a
student, member of school staff, or visitor without their consent is strictly forbidden.
The school is not legally responsible for any photos, videos, or recordings taken and/or
posted online by a student.

Violations of any of the above will result in disciplinary actions as deemed necessary by the
school.

1. Students are responsible for taking care of their tablets at all times, whether at home or at
school.
2. Students should bring their tablets fully charged to school every day. If the battery runs
low, students should charge their tablets with their power banks.
3. Students should never share their password with others.
4, Students may only use their own tablet and should not give their tablets to another
student, irrespective of the circumstances.
5, Students may not download any application on the tablets while on school premises
unless instructed by a teacher to do so.
6. Students should not leave their tablets unattended.
7. Students must immediately report the loss, theft, or damage of their tablet.
8. Students should place their devices on mute at all times.
« & a1. Any sofware requested by the school should always remain on the tablet and should be
easily accessible at all times.
2. Students should be aware of additional software programs and files added to their
tablets.
3. Students should maintain the integrity of software required for facilitating academic
activities
4. Any additional software installed must be appropriate for the school environment and
should not infringe on the classroom productivity.
5. Students are responsible for ensuring that only licensed software is loaded onto their
tablets.

Students are responsible for the general care of their tablets and must follow the guidelines
listed below:
All tablets must be labeled according to the manner specified by the school.
The labels should never be removed.
Do not place the tablet close to food or liquids.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the tablet.
Do not use markers or stickers to decorate the tablet.
Keep the tablet away from electromagnetic fields as data can be erased or corrupted
Do not expose the tablet to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light for extended periods of time
as it can harm your tablet.
The power cord must not be plugged to the tablet when packed

10. Do not leave the tablet unattended or in unsupervised areas. Tablets should be stored in
a secured location when not in use.
11. Extreme care must be taken to protect the tablet screen from accidental damage. Do not
place the tablet in your schoolbag in a way that could damage it.
12. A microfiber cloth is the only thing that should be used to clean your tablet. Do not use
any cleaning solution to clean the screen.
