NOVEL REVIEW
TITLE: The Silent Patient
AUTHER: Alex Michaelides
FIRST PUBLICATION: 2019
The silent patient covers a story of crime. The story starts with
Alicia Bernson who is a famous painter, and she was charged
with murdering her husband Graham, who was a photographer.
She never spoke a single word after the murder and went
silent. Then the other main character Theo Faber who is a
criminal psychotherapist took the initiative to make Alicia speak
because his other team members failed. Through Theo we get
to know about Alicia because he communicates with the people
linked to her life and cross questioning gives information about
her. We also got to know about her diary. We also got to know
about her relationship with Gabriel. Theo is also an interesting
character. Most of the story is told by him. He is putting all his
efforts into this case because it matters a lot for his reputation
and gives a boost to his Carrer. There are more characters, but
they only show for a little time.
The best thing about this novel is that it is unpredictable and
very interesting to read. It keeps you attached to it. I liked it a
lot and would recommend it.
