- I had to decide whether I wanted to go to study in England for a whole year. One of my friends was going to apply for an English school, and I thought it might be a good opportunity for me as well. 2. What were all the options and alternatives? - I could apply for the same school she did, I could apply for another school, or I could not apply for any school at all. 3. How did you assess all the options and alternatives? - She told me how se was going to do it, and gave me her opinion on the matter, as she had to do the same decision-making process as me. She also gave me her experience on the application process, so I would now which option was better. 4. What was your final decision? - I decided that I wanted to go, and I applied to the same school as her. I was down for this decision since I knew I could go to England. However, my parents were not so thrilled about it, so I had to help them decide what was best for me. 5. What methods did you employ to make this decision? - I used critical thinking, given that I tried to decide which option had the best outcome, with the less negative consequences. I also listened to my friend´s opinion, as she had already been through the same decision- making process, and she could answer all the doubts me and my parents had. 6. How did you put your final decision into action? - With the help of my friend, I sent my application to the same school as her. A couple months later, I had to do a psychometric test, which I passed. Finally, I had to do an interview with one of the school workers. They told me I was in, so we booked the flights and prepared everything for going to England. 7. What were the consequences of employing your final decision? - Even though I didn´t see my friends and family for a long time, I met amazing people and made very good friends. I improved my English, and I studied in a very different way than in Spain. I think there were more positive aspects of this experience than negative ones.
