FSSA makes changes to pharmacy supply limits for
HIP Basic members Effective Oct. 1, 2022, the prescription drug supply limit for Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) Basic permanently extends from 30 days to 90 days. The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) made these changes to align HIP Basic prescription drug plans with HIP Plus prescription drug plans.
There are no changes to cost-sharing requirements and members
will continue to be exempt from copayments for preventive care in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations 45 CFR 147.130. HIP Basic members have been receiving this benefit through the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency (see IHCP Bulletin BT202021). HIP Basic members will continue to receive this benefit permanently following return to normal operations.
