ACTIVITY 1:-
 DEVELOPING AND MANAGING EFFICIENT GARBAGE DISPOSABLE
SYSTEM

ABSTRACT:-
Waste management (or waste disposal) includes the activities and actions required to manage
waste from its inception to its final disposal .the includes the collection, transport, treatment
and disposal of waste, together with monitoring and regulation of the waste management
process and waste related laws, technologies economic mechanisms.

INTRODUCTION:-

Waste can be solid, liquid, or gaseous and each type has different methods of disposal and
management. Waste management deals with all types of waste, including industrial,
biological and household. In some cases, waste can pose a threat to human health. Health
issues are associated throughout the entire process of waste management. Health issues can
also arise indirectly or directly. Directly, through the handling of said waste, and indirectly
through the consumption of water, soil and food. Waste is produced by human activity, for
example, the extraction and processing of raw materials. Waste management is intended to
reduce adverse effects of waste on human health, the environment, planetary resources and
aesthetics.

Waste management practices are not uniform among countries (developed and developing
nations); regions (urban and rural areas), and residential and industrial sectors can all take
different approaches.

Proper management of waste is important for building sustainable and liveable cities, but it
remains a challenge for many developing countries and cities. A report found that effective
waste management is relatively expensive, usually comprising 20%–50% of municipal
budgets. Operating this essential municipal service requires integrated systems that are
efficient, sustainable, and socially supported. A large portion of waste management practices
deal with municipal solid waste (MSW) which is the bulk of the waste that is created by
household, industrial, and commercial activity. Measures of waste management include
measures for integrated techno-economic mechanisms of a circular economy, effective
disposal facilities, export and import control and optimal sustainable design of products that
are produced.
This Activity refers that developing the efficient method to garbage disposable and managing
it to dump into Various Method through waste management.
Today we have various type of method for managing the waste but the knowledge and
education is important in our country India. The people who live here are mostly careless
about the putting waste into proper dustbins and separating the waste .so that’s why the India
is facing so much of waste in roads and landfilling rather than recycling ,the waste is on Land
only there are so many Government programs like SWACH BHARATH and Departments
like Municipality and NGO ‘’s are taken initiative to manage the waste but also the waste
managing is so tough in India so here the separation and developing the method of putting
waste is taken
out in one small area this is the small initiative and contribution towards the society and
giving knowledge to the people about the waste management .

In this case the chosen area was Kanakapura town located in Ramanagara district. Then
preparations were taken to approach the shops, hotels, hospitals, and street vendors which
took about two to three days due to the fact that here the observation and inspection of the
shops is carried out. To correct the first issue, it should be noted that this area is giving
preference to collecting waste only from houses and large stores and complexes instead of
small tea shops where small tea cups and plastic paper are disposed of, so that is the case. As
a result of dumping waste on an empty land, it creates a wide range of problems. Here the
shops that aren't dumping waste to the municipal vans were identified, and then they took
action to dispose of the waste appropriately.
It was the initiative to approach the Tea shops and hotels, which was inspected and
instructions were given to dump waste into vans of the municipality. Here government is
taking great measures to dispose of waste in a proper way, taking proper care of dry waste
into separate boxes, chemical waste into one box, and wet waste into one box leads us to
dump the waste. It is feasible to recycle the waste, and it leads to a proper useable product.
Here is a list of shops, which are not following the proper waste management, which is
grouped under the following Kanakapura Town in:
1] Sri Kabbalamma Hotel.
2] Nandini Milk parlour.
3] Sri cafe juice and chats centre.
4] Sri Manjunatha Tea Stall.
5] Sri Ganesh Medical Store.

Here is a list of shops that don't manage their waste properly. They have been enrolled in this
program and have been guided into managing waste properly by putting waste in dustbins
and putting garbage in the landfill vans.
First, it is used to buy the garbage bag from the store, then it is distributed and guided for
shops to use for garbage disposal in the future. Here is a proof that it is a biodegradable bag
bought from a retailer shop.
The proof which was taken before and after the activity work and it was successfully done:-

1) Sri Kabbalamma Hotel, Kanakapura Town:-

This is the stage before visiting the shop After visiting the shop, the photos were taken as
evidence and so that the hotel owner would be informed about how to manage the hotel waste
properly. After distributing garbage bags and providing proper guidelines for the proper
disposal of garbage in the biodegradable bags, a two to three day period was required to
approach and distribute them. This reduced the amount of work for the municipalities as a
result of the separation of garbage and biodegradable bags is so tough to do, In this case, the
hotel owner stood by the words he made to manage the waste through the proper guidelines.
2) Nandini Milk parlour, Kanakapura Town
It is the stage before visiting a tea shop after which I take this photograph as evidence and
guide the shop owner on how to manage waste properly such as the tea cup that was used to
drink tea at the tea shop, After distributing garbage bags and providing proper guidelines for
the proper disposal of garbage in the biodegradable bags, a two to three day period was
required to approach and distribute them. This reduced the amount of work for the
municipalities as a result of the separation of garbage and biodegradable bags is so tough to
do, In this case, the hotel owner stood by the words he made to manage the waste through the
proper guidelines.
3) Sri Cafe Juice and Chats Centre, Kanakapura Town:-

The stage before visiting the juice shop, and the photo taken as evidence and informing the
shop owner as to how to manage the juice shop waste properly, such as plastic cups used for
juice drink, it was a small juice shop. but it was creating huge amount of waste and it is
thrown out of the empty land. After distributing garbage bags and providing proper
guidelines for the proper disposal of garbage in the biodegradable bags, a two to three day
period was required to approach and distribute them. This reduced the amount of work for the
municipalities as a result of the separation of garbage and biodegradable bags is so tough to
do, In this case, the hotel owner stood by the words he made to manage the waste through the
proper guidelines.
4) Sri Manjunatha Tea Stall, Kanakapura Town:-
It is the stage before visiting a tea shop after which I take this photograph as evidence and
guide the shop owner on how to manage waste properly such as the tea cup that was used to
drink tea at the tea shop, After distributing garbage bags and providing proper guidelines for
the proper disposal of garbage in the biodegradable bags, a two to three day period was
required to approach and distribute them. This reduced the amount of work for the
municipalities as a result of the separation of garbage and biodegradable bags is so tough to
do, In this case, the hotel owner stood by the words he made to manage the waste through the
proper guidelines.
5] Sri Ganesh Medical Store, Kanakapura Town:-
Here is the stage before visiting this medical shop after this, we take the photo as evidence
and provide the information to the owner so he can manage the waste properly. Throwing and
creating medical waste and it is thrown out of the empty land after distributing garbage bags
and providing proper guidelines for the proper disposal of garbage in the biodegradable bags,
a two to three day period was required to approach and distribute them. This reduced the
amount of work for the municipalities as a result of the separation of garbage and
biodegradable bags is so tough to do, In this case, the hotel owner stood by the words he
made to manage the waste through the proper guidelines..

Recommendation:-
Following neat procedure of waste management has been done and furthermore, there has
been an indication from the municipality that these shops should dump the waste into their
vans as per the facility. They have then found these shops, and these wastes have been
disposed of.

Conclusion and Outcomes:-

Through this activity, I was able to present a detailed overview of waste management and
successfully completed the activity. I gained a deeper understanding of waste management
and how it is causing so many problems we must develop quality approaches to deal with the
public effectively in the future, helping us become the eco-friendly city in the world and the
cleanest in the world.
ACTIVITY 2:-

 ON HELPING LOCAL SCHOOLS TO ACHIEVE GOOD RESULTS AND

ENHANCE THEIR ENROLLMENT HIGHER/TECHNICAL/VOCATIONAL
EDUCATION

ABSTRACT:-

The Indian education system is undergoing a transition today due to globalization. The
activity is designed to focus on recent local school teachings relevant to the learning
approach. The goal is to analyse, here guiding students to achieve good results in their
academics by providing clear guidelines. Helping them get the best education for their future.

INTRODUCTION:-

All levels of education, from primary to higher education, are overseen by the Department of
Higher Education and the Department of School Education and Literacy. The Indian
government has also heavily subsidized education, although there is an initiative to make
higher education partially self-financing.

The Indian Education System has many stages such as the Nursery, the Primary, the
Secondary, the Higher Secondary, the Graduation, and the Post-Graduation. The Pre-primary
or the Nursery has the Lower Kinder garden and the Upper Kinder garden, where the basic
reading and writing skills are developed. The Primary school has children between the ages
of six and eleven. It has organized classes of one to five. The Secondary school children are
between the ages of eleven and fifteen and the classes are organized from six to ten. The
higher secondary school students are between the ages of sixteen and seventeen and the
classes are organized as eleven and twelve. In some states, the classes between six and eight
are also referred to as the Middle schools and those between eight and ten are referred to as
the high schools. There are many different streams available after secondary education.
Higher Education in India aims at providing education to specialize in a field and includes
many technical schools, colleges, and universities. The schools in India are controlled by
various boards such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board, the Council
for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) board, the state government boards,
the National Open School, and the International schools.

There are plenty of government-funded schools in each major Indian city catering to the
working classes. Even though there are many Government high schools with English as the
medium of instruction, the students are usually taught in the regional language. These
institutions are heavily subsidized and the study materials are also subsidized sometimes. The
Government schools have the state curriculum. Secondary education is also provided by
several private schools and these schools will either follow the national curriculum or the
state curriculum.
This activity refers to helping local schools to achieve good academic results through
effective learning and changing the way children are taught differently, making them better
observers, and using a new method for teaching them, Learning skills will have a big impact
on the children's academics, as our government schools do not have sufficient teaching staffs
or expertise, and cannot take advantage of appropriate teaching techniques. During the
inspection towards local schools, the small local government school with 28 children was
selected according to the higher authority regulations, here the permission has been sought
from the local school officer. Here the proposal has been explained to the headmaster and
they have agreed to allow the children to participate in the activity. The time has been fixed
as an extra class, and permission from the children's parents has been granted after that the
student’s details have been collected, it has been sorted out from the list of students with 1 ST
to 5TH standard that all the subjects have been discussed in this extra class. This is Kannada
medium school, here are the school photographs that have been taken.
From class 1st to 5th
Conclusion and Outcomes:-

Students have been taken through classes from 1st to 5th standard according to the timetable
and in different periods as per the syllabus. I have tried to help them with the tough topics
and subjects such as Kannada, English, Maths, and Social Science. I have also taught them
drawing. After taking the unit test, every student was extremely more capable of writing the
exam. At the end of the unit test, every student was able to clear their exams and the class
became more interested in learning and the students were able to start a new learning skill
Therefore, the main purpose of the activity has been accomplished. Students have achieved
good academic results as a result of the activity.
ACTIVITY 3:-

 SETTING OF THE INFORMATION IMPARTING CLUB FOR WOMEN

LEADING TO CONTRIBUTION IN SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC ISSUES:-

ABSTRACT:-

Women's empowerment (or female empowerment) is the process of empowering women. It

may be defined in several ways, including accepting women's viewpoints or making an effort
to seek them, raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and
training. Women's empowerment equips and allows women to make life-determining
decisions through the different problems in society. They may have the opportunity to
redefine gender roles or other such roles, which in turn may allow them more freedom to
pursue desired goals. In this activity, creating a club for women as well as teaching them
about the social and economic advancement of women is the main objective of the program.
And the government's various schemes are also helping the women. has been discussed here
are like these Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme,One-Stop Centre Scheme, Women Helpline
Scheme, UJJAWALA, Working Women HostelSWADHAR ,NARI SHAKTI
PURASKAR,Awardees of Stree Shakti Puruskar, 2014 & Awardees of Nari Shakti
Puruskar,Awardees of Rajya Mahila Samman & Zila Mahila Samman Mahila Police
Volunteers, Mahila Shakti Kendras (MSK), NIRBHAYA.

INTRODUCTION:-

It is a woman who plays a dominant role in the basic life of a child. Women are an important
section of our society. Education as means of empowerment of women can bring about a
positive attitudinal change. It is, therefore, crucial for the socio-economic and political
progress of India. Women’s empowerment in India has a long history. Great social reformers
in the past like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Swami Vivekananda, Acharya Vinobha Bhave, and
Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, etc. abolished ghastly practices like Sati and child marriage and
worked relentlessly in the past for the upliftment of women in India. The Indian National
Congress, one of the first political parties of India, raised its voice to demand political rights
for women in the year 1917. The policy of women's empowerment is incorporated well into
the constitution of India which became effective in the year 1950. Article 14 ensures the right
to equality for women; Article 15(1) prohibits gender discrimination; Article 15(3) empowers
the state to take affirmative steps in favor of women, to name a few. The Equal Remuneration
Act of 1976, The Maternity Benefit Act in 1961, The Sexual Harassment of Women at Work
Place (prevention and protection act) in 2013 are some of the few specific laws which were
sanctioned by the Indian Parliament concerning women’s rights. And in the year 2001, the
Government of India launched a National Policy for Women Empowerment with specific
objectives like strengthening legal systems aimed at eliminating all forms of discrimination
against women. Nevertheless, India has a long way to go when it comes to women exercising
their fundamental rights and enjoying their freedom equally as men.
This week was the first week of the club activity which was created with the assistance of the
Sthree Shakti group from Gadasahalli taking the illiterate women from that village to create
the club titled the Gadasahalli Club. After creating the club here, the discussion regarding the
club was held. The government has given these grants to citizens especially for the
empowerment of women here in India. And here the members are voluntarily have been the
part of this club. Taking the oath of the activity and following good guidelines from here they
have given their best in learning varied topics.
Conclusion and outcomes:-

The main purpose of this activity has been fulfilled – the women received some education
about the social issues and economic problems they are facing in our society. They are getting
training from many departments as a result of this activity, so here the club was formed. For
their lifetime having weekly graph and they have created an investment club to help them to
overcome financial issues. Here discussed with money paid jobs like computer education,
tailoring, teaching school, and doing part-time jobs.
ACTIVITY 4:-

 FOOD PRESERVATION/PACKAGING
ABSTRACT:-

Food preservation, any of several methods by which food is kept from spoilage after harvest
or slaughter. Such practices date to prehistoric times. Among the oldest methods of
preservation are drying, refrigeration, and fermentation. Modern methods
include canning, pasteurization, freezing, irradiation, and the addition of chemicals. Advances
in packaging materials have played an important role in modern food preservation. Here the
hotels and small canteen have been selected in the point of view that they were using plastic
packing rather than that here preferred in aluminium foil sheets to pack the foods and
preserve the food in good condition.

INTRODUCTION:-

Food preservation includes food processing practices that prevent the growth
of microorganisms, such as yeasts (although some methods work by introducing
benign bacteria or fungi to the food), and slow the oxidation of fats that cause rancidity. Food
preservation may also include processes that inhibit visual deterioration, such as the
enzymatic browning reaction in apples after they are cut during food preparation. By
preserving food, food waste can be reduced, which is an important way to decrease
production costs and increase the efficiency of food systems, improve food security and
nutrition and contribute towards environmental sustainability. For instance, it can reduce the
environmental impact of food production. Many processes designed to preserve food involve
more than one food preservation method. Preserving fruit by turning it into jam, for example,
involves boiling (to reduce the fruit's moisture content and to kill bacteria, etc.), sugaring (to
prevent their re-growth), and sealing within an airtight jar (to prevent recontamination).
Different food preservation methods have different impacts on the quality of the food and
food systems. Some traditional methods of preserving food have been shown to have a
lower energy input and carbon footprint compared to modern methods. Some methods of
food preservation are known to create carcinogens. In 2015, the International Agency for
Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization classified processed meat, i.e., meat
that has undergone salting, curing, fermenting, and smoking, as "carcinogenic to humans.

The list of shops which is not following the food preservation/packaging is selected as follows:-

1. Fish kebabs centre.kanakapura town

2. Sri Kabalamma Hotel, Kanakapura Town
1] Fish kebabs centre. Kanakapura town:-
This is a proof that the store has changed their packaging and preservation system from
newspaper packaging to aluminium packaging. It was conducted after observing how the
packaging goes in this store, and then contacted him to take and pack the food. From
newspaper packing there are number of health problems that will occur, so remembering this,
the system was changed so there are photo proofs which has been changed from previous
methods. The store has adopted modern packaging methods in their store by distributing good
materials to their suppliers.
2] Sri Kabalamma Hotel, Kanakapura Town
This is a proof that the hotel has changed their packaging and preservation system from
newspaper packaging to aluminium packaging. It was conducted after observing how the
packaging goes in this hotel, and then contacted him to take and pack the food. From
newspaper packing there are number of health problems that will occur, so remembering
this, the system was changed so there are photo proofs which has been changed from
previous methods.

Conclusion and outcomes:-

With this activity, the main objective is to create awareness in the society that using some
harmful stuff for packaging foods is dangerous for health and could lead to asthma and other
health problems so the future is going to be worse from this awareness has been created. The
store has adopted modern packaging methods in their store by distributing good materials to
their suppliers.
ACTIVITY 5:-

 FACILITATING 100% DIGITIZED MONEY TRANSACTIONS

ABSTRACT:-

A digital transaction is a process by which transactions take place without the use of cash. A
digital transaction involves the collaboration of several parties including large financial firms
and several sectors within the economy. Here the activity has been taken into picture
selecting one of the shops that are not using a QR code scanner to the shops listing out that
making the shop 100% cashless after successful service is given here.

INTRODUCTION:-

The Digital India programme is a flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to
transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. “Faceless, Paperless,
Cashless” is one of professed role of Digital India. As part of promoting cashless transactions and
converting India into less-cash society, various modes of digital payments are available. Like

payments in India to account for 71% of all payments by 2025: report. MUMBAI: Digital payments in
India are set to account for 71.7% of the total payments volume by 2025, leaving cash and cheques at
28.3%, according to a report by a US-based payment systems company ACI worldwide. Our motto is
to make India cashless avoid black money transactions.

The list of shops which is not following the 100% digitized money transactions and selected
as follows:-

1. Sri Kabalamma Hotel, Kanakapura Town.

This is evidence of the restaurant taking cash from the customers after acquiring the franchise
of Bharath Pay. When they were contacted by the office to provide QR code scanner to the
shop they agreed to provide the scanner and then took all the owner's information and
registered the owner. There has been only one successful installation of the scanner to the
wooden door of the shop due to time constraints here.

Conclusion and Outcomes:-

Based on this activity, the main conclusion is technology has grown in these days the
digitization has grown in the society the people want to change and get educated from the
reality and move forward to the cashless world here the activity concludes.
