Dr. Ashok Kumar Pathera is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Amity

Institute of Food Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. He has done his

M. Sc. in Food Technology from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology,

Hisar, India and Ph. D. in Food Engineering & Technology from Sant Longowal Institute of

Engineering and Technology, Sangrur, India. Dr. Pathera has over 10 years of experience in

industry, research, and teaching. Prior to Amity University, he has also worked in Shoolini

University (Solan, Himachal Pradesh), National Institute of Food Technology

Entrepreneurship and Management (Kundli, Haryana), Lala Lajpat Rai University of

Veterinary and Animal Sciences (Hisar, Haryana), and Parle Biscuits Pvt Ltd (Bahadurgarh,

Haryana). He has published over 35 research/review papers in the journal of repute and

contributed 4 book chapters. Dr. Pathera has also presented over 10 papers in

conferences/seminars and edited one conference proceeding. Dr. Pathera is presently guiding

2 PhD students. His area of research is food technology, food product development and

optimization. Dr. Pathera is a life member of Association of Food Scientists and Technologists

(India), and Association of Microbiologists of India.
