“Research is collaborative in making so it is important to cooperate with your members” – Sir

Difference between the two types of Research

Qualitative – deals with human experiences
-delve deep into the situations
- involves a topic that is discuss specific/specifically as much as possible
Quantitative – dealing with numerical data
Mostly answer the questions, “how much” “how often” how frequent”

FOCUS: Qualitative Research

Additional Notes:
-we can do some data collection methods like:
Interviews with respondents (most possible as of now)
Surveys
Observations
-How?
We can do interviews to atleast 5-10 students through:
Google forms, messenger, texts and calls, etc.
I. PRELIMINARIES – table of contents (to be discussed once all the chapters are
finished)

Format: (note: to be send by Sir, this is only a ss of Sir’s presentation)

Another note: the following discussions will also involve ss of Sir’s presentation of the formats and
discussions, but the pdf of format and presentation are to be sent still on the gc so don’t worry)

-the list of members is in alphabetical order

- the date depends on, but likely at the end of the S.Y. (JUNE 2022)

II. Chapter 1 – THE PROBLEM & ITS BACKGROUND

Format:

Note: The words that are

bold and in all capital
letters are to be as it is in
the format given

a. Introduction –
Explanation:
1.Bakit importante
2. Anong nalalaman ng mundo about the topic?
Lay them out.
3. Ano ang hindi pa nalalaman about our topic?
4. New information (refers to the number 3
answers), why is it information important?
5. Goal of the topic

The spaces presented are for the 5 paragraphs and for the last paragraph, the given keywords for this
part of the research shown above are keywords that can be used by us, or we can still use different
keywords from other sample works.
Example:

b. Statement of the problem – general and specific objectives of our research paper
Format:

Examples:
As shown in the examples above, the objectives can be answered by the questions for the
interviewees/respondents
In the example, the general objective is to find out the socio-educational needs of the…. (Read in the
example)
Explain ko lang, ang topic ng example research sa taas ay about sa “children in conflict with the law in
Region Rehabilitation Center for Youth at Pangpang, Sorsogon City” meaning mga batang may nalabag
na batas and confined in one institute or etc. as stated, pero hindi sila sama sama in one space sa loob
ng institute or kung saan man sila confined, now, sa specific objectives as shown sa example sa taas, to
know the specific objectives is kailangan ng questions about sa profile ng interviewee (meaning profile,
all about his/her life) so that maunderstand ang situation and para makapagpropose tayo on how to
improve the situation or the quality of life of them.

c. Scope and Delimitation

Scope – is the parameters (a specific setting or place kung saan doon lang nag ooperate and study)
Timeframe is only S.Y. 2021-2022
For the elements included in terms of population, for instance, the topic is ang topic natin
If we’re talking about gas students or working students or all the students at SNHS, we need to be
specific. So? Up to us.
Delimitation – is the facts that is out of the topic
For instance, the topic is about “The effect of new education system EMDL on working students,”
meaning ang delimination is the students that are not working.
Examples:

Format: still regarding the Scope and Delimitation (notes)

2 paragraphs (including scope and delimitation)
1st paragraph – scope
2nd paragraph – delimitation (hindi included ang kasama sa ating topic)
d. Significance of the Study – importance of the study

mention 5 people or groups of people, organization, etc. (to whom the study may be
important/beneficial) beneficial is not really the word proposed by Sir

The keywords given can be used but we can still used keywords from other sample works.
Examples:

As shown in the examples from above, the significance of the study is to whom the study may be a
guidance, beneficial, an in-depth study, an understanding and to whom it may be important and how is
it significance or on how can be it be significance to them. Like the examples from before (refer to the
statement of the problem, in the questions involving specific objective, the questions are about the
profile of the interviewee) to know his/her situations or whereabouts that way, the research could be
significance to his/her family because the study can help them understand the situations of their
children or child and may encourage them to give more support to their child or children (refer to the
examples above).
Required: Future Researchers….. (part)
Format:
Indented, Period every people or group of people mentioned, those that are bold letters in the
examples are also bold letters in our research paper (follow the format or the example)

e. Notes – the references or the sources to obtain the information

Cite references and always paraphrase in obtaining info – for originalism and to avoid plagiarism

Select “copy intext citation” proceed to paper, paste in the parts of the papers the info is used as
shown in the example (that’s why it’s called intext)
Examples:

May isesend nalang po akong video on how to do regarding doon sa instructions about the APA Citation

dahil madami tayo, greetings

to remind him na “Sir, remind
