How to use this document
Status of reports
- In part A (page 2) you will find information arranged by the alphabetical order of
countries. Check the name of your country.
- In part B (page 22) you will find information arranged by the type of report submitted to
the Committee, initial or periodic reports
Deadlines for submitting written information

- If you are part of an Organization of Persons with Disabilities, Civil society organization,
National Human Rights Institution, or Independent Monitoring Mechanism, your
organization can submit alternative reports to the Committee:
-
o Three weeks before the date that the Committee has identified for the adoption
of a list of issues.
o Three weeks before the date that the Committee has identified for a dialogue
between the Committee and the State party.
o Four months before the date that the Committee has identified for the adoption
of a list of issues prior to reporting.
o At any time if the Committee has not yet identified a specific date for the
consideration of a State’s party report.

Initial report: a report prepared by a State party to the Convention after the ratification of the
Convention.
Periodic report: a report prepared by a State party to the Convention after the Committee has
considered the initial report.
Combined periodic reports: two or more reports that the Committee has requested a State party to
submit together.
Overdue report: a report that a State party should have submitted by a certain time, but that the
State party has still not submitted.
Report due on a specific date: a report that a State party still has time to prepare and submit.
Report submitted: a report that a State party has sent to the Secretariat of the Committee.
List of issues: a set of questions prepared by the Committee and addressed to a State party, which
aims to further clarify the information contained in a State report.
Replies to the list of issues: answers in writing provided by a State party to questions prepared by
the Committee
Simplified reporting procedure: when a State party has agreed that the Committee prepare a list of
questions before the State submits a periodic report.
List of issues prior to reporting: a list of questions prepared by the Committee before a State party
submits a periodic report.
Replies to the list of issues prior to reporting: answers in writing submitted by a State party to
respond to questions prepared by the Committee. These answers are considered the State report.
Dialogue between the Committee and the State party: in-presence or online meeting between the
members of the Committee and a delegation of the State party in which they discuss the
implementation of the Convention by the State party at the national level.
Yet to be determined: the date when the Committee will take action on a report has not been
decided and it will be decided later on.
Dialogue expected to take place: The Committee has planned to have a dialogue with a State party,
but the exact date of the dialogue is only tentative and may change.
List of issues or List of issues prior to reporting expected on a certain date : The Committee has
planned to adopt a list of questions but the exact date is only tentative and may change.
