globalization.

2. Does global free trade have done more harm than good?
Yes. Global free trading has indeed helped all consumers buy and afford cheaper
goods but this has unquestionably harmed many other countries. The usefulness
of the cheap products in question is only relative to national prosperity. It has
done economic damage to some countries, and environmental damage globally.
It has done or produced many negative effects despite its original intention that is
meant to eliminate unfair barriers to global commerce and raise the economy in
developed and developing nations.

3. What are the effects of globalization on the government?

Governments are constrained by globalization because their fiscal weight is
raised. They shift their uses away from capital and toward exchanges and
appropriations. Citizens' preferences may boost this move in order to
compensate for the risks of globalization.

4. Name an international organization and identify its role in global

governance.
World Trade Organization, its aim is to regulate international trade laws and
ensure that all members are treated fairly and equally using negotiations and
trade dispute resolution. They create global trade rules and settle disputes
among countries, which might disagree on the interpretation of those rules.

5. What are the similarities and differences of MNCs and TNCs?

MNC and TNC are both highly influential to globalization, economic and
environmental lobbying in most countries. Both have a local impact on
employment, standard of living, and real wages, and both have a local impact on
production. TNC is a decentralized structure that operates or enables the
production of goods and services in more than one country, but not in the country
where it is based. MNC is a centralized management structure that runs its
production of investment, services, or management at least in one country along
with its home country.

6. How could emerging economies and developing countries like the

Philippines benefit from market integration, including increasing our
participation in this global phenomenon?
Nationals can work in other countries, enhancing productivity and providing more
job chances for Filipinos working overseas. Workers will be protected if visas and
work permits for skilled labor are made easier to get.

organization?

growth. This organization is dedicated to the preservation of international peace
and security. They work to combat terrorism and extremism, as well as to avert
conflict in peacekeeping and peacebuilding.

8. How has the global crisis been addressed by the United Nations, G20+,
and other international bodies?
According to reports, it has been mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic is
more than a health crisis and should also be treated and seen as an economic
crisis, humanitarian crisis, security crisis and a human rights crisis. It has affected
everything in ways that even in the government or “higher-ups” could control. To
get out of this crisis, a whole-of-society, whole-of-government, and whole-of-
world approach based on compassion and solidarity is expected.
