Letter To Self Directions
Directions: Write a letter to your current self from your future self from 10 years in the
future. (Who will you be when you are 27 or 28 years old?). Send your letter to Mrs. Neer via
webmail with the subject line: Letter to Self and your first and last name (This is how you get your
25 points). Schedule send your letter to yourself for one year from today.
Future you:
o What are your hopes, dreams, fears, concerns? (coming from FUTURE you)
Your world:
o Describe your home, neighborhood, community (Remember: FUTURE you)
What you do:
o Job, hobbies, activities, vacations, etc. (FUTURE you)
People in your life:
o Friends, family, possible significant other (FUTURE you)
o YOU MUST ANSWER THE QUESTION: WHO DOES FUTURE YOU ADMIRE AND WHY?
Major obstacle:
o Describe one major obstacle that you had to overcome and how you overcame that
obstacle. (Remember: this is somewhat “pretend,” so you are making up an obstacle
that could reasonably happen in the next 10 years). This is to help remind yourself of
how resilient you are no matter what.
One wish:
o Describe one wish you hope will come true (FUTURE you)
CORRECT FORMATTING:
o Heading

o Body
You should have 6 body “paragraphs” – one paragraph for each section you must
