OPPORTUNITIES TO DELIVER BLOOMING BEDS AND BEES Tottenham community project LIVING UNDER ONE SUN is looking to appoint key people to deliver an exciting new project. Through an exciting outreach programme of workshops and a festival Blooming Beds and Bees will: inspire and educate local s chools, community groups a nd residents in h ow b ees pollinate flowers and h elp food to grow; give them accessible and hands on information on how to supplement their diet with healthy, fresh and affordable food; stimulate more growing in gardens, balconies, schools, community centres and local green spaces; stimulate the d evelopment of more b eehives and b eekeeping; bring all this together for the Blooming Beds and Bees festival and flower show and competitions on Tottenham Marshes n ext summer - Tottenhams a lternative to the Chelsea Flower Show ! improve social relationships and community cohesion by bringing p eople together from different backgrounds and across different generations to make a d ifference.

LUOS now n eeds to contract: A Project Co-ordinator to manage the organisation and successful d elivery of the project. 5,600 is available based on an estimated 40 days work over 12 months. A Project Evaluator/Filmmaker to oversee the evaluation of the project over 12 months, including the production of a DVD as a key element of this. 4,000 is available. Specialist advisers to train and advise volunteer BBB Champions and work with local schools and community groups on organic food growing, b eekeeping, pollinators and flower growing. Experience of partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders including s chools and community groups 5. Knowledge of areas of work relating to the project including sustainability and horticulture 6. Experience of and ability to build and motivate a team, including managing volunteers 7. Experience of and ability to communicate effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders and in particular local residents and schools 8. Sound administrative s kills 9. Commitment to and track record of promoting equal opportunities and inclusive working Project Evaluator 1. Commitment to Tottenham and creating a vibrant neighbourhood 2. Experience and track record of successful community engagement and empowerment 3. Experience of and ability to evaluate a project of this n ature 4. Experience of and ability in the film production and associated techniques required to produce a DVD as a key part of the evaluation of the project 5. Experience of partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders including s chools and community groups 6. Some knowledge of areas of work relating to the project including sustainability and horticulture 7. Experience of and ability to communicate effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders and in particular local residents and schools. 8.
