Major requirements have been structured to provide breadth of knowledge in the various areas of Psychology.
Majors must meet with one of the department faculty members early on to plan their coursework. Students
who intend to apply to graduate school should discuss the preferred sequencing of courses and
research opportunities, GRE’s and the application process with the pre-psychology adviser, Dr.
Joshua Bacon, or another faculty member.

Participation in The Psychology Club provides valuable information and an opportunity to become involved in a
variety of extracurricular events. Psi Chi, the National Honors Society in Psychology, has an active chapter on
campus.
