Open the test uploaded in Microsoft Teams (Unit 2 – Files) and take the time to
closely analyze its format with your peer. Afterwards, choose one receptive and one
productive skill and answer the questions hereby given:
1. Fill out the chart given based on your analysis of the test and write two paragraphs
describing the overall test format, purpose and its main components. To do this,
consider referring to the type of task used, and the type of performance being
evaluated in each part of each skill.
2. Taking into account the considerations made in question 1, write about strategies
you both think might work best when solving those tasks. You are highly
recommended to provide examples derived from the actual exercises displayed in
the test.
3. Based on your skills selection, find the list of micro and macroskills listed by
Brown (2004) and explain some tasks that you would implement in class to
integrally strengthen your students’ performance in standardized tests.
