INTRODUCTION

The aim of God is to raise up a strong army that is equipped to do same works that Jesus Christ did. Spiritual
gifts in operation are a part of that purpose. Apostle Paul makes it very clear that the gifts of the Holy Spirit
are for every believer (1 CORIN 12:7; 14:31).One of the ways the Holy Spirit helps a believer supernaturally
is in the distribution of spiritual gifts. It is this gifts that makes our assignment easier, efficient and more
productive. (JOHN 14:26)

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are the translational (beyond the mind and understanding) manifestation of God.
They are given by God for the purpose of ministry taking place for the good of the body of Christ. They are
divided into three categories namely: REVELATIONAL GIFTS (gifts to know) which include: The Word
of Knowledge, The Word of Wisdom and Discerning of spirits, INSPIRATIONAL GIFTS (gifts to say)
which include: Prophecy, The gift of tongues, and The interpretation of tongues, and POWER GIFTS (gifts
to do) which include: The gift of Faith, gifts of healing and The working of Miracles. (1 CORIN 12:8-10)

The gift of the Holy Spirit is a proof that there is a supernatural advantage attached to Christianity which
makes it superior to every other world religion. (ACTS 1:8) It is therefore every believer’s responsibility to
lay hold on what has been provided for our advantage in life and ministry. The disciples of Jesus Christ were
able to turn their world upside down through the manifestation of these gifts (ACTS 17:16) It is the desire of
the Lord Jesus Christ that all believers replicate much more the works he did while on earth (JOHN 14:12)
And for this purpose the Holy Spirit distributes gifts to men as he wills. (1 CORIN 12:7) Are you working in
any today? Have you discovered yours? What are you still waiting for?

answer for him/herself is this “WHAT WILL I DO WITH THE HOLY GHOST”.
