General Rules of Thorne Camera Club Update 23-12-2022
1. These are the rules of Thorne Camera Club. Members, upon joining, agree
to abide by these rules.
2. A Committee shall be formed to simplify the running of the Club. The
committee will have permission of the members to act on their behalf with
good intent. They shall not be held responsible when acting in good faith.
3. Committee Members shall serve for no more than 5 years before standing for
re-election at an AGM. They are however under no obligation and may resign
from the Committee at any time they wish.
5. The Club year runs from the beginning of September until the end of August
the following year.
6. The club will hold an Annual General Meeting before the end of October of
each new club year.
7. Club membership is open to all individuals over the age of 18, who pay an
annual membership fee. From March of each year, new members will only
need to pay a reduced membership fee. However, full fees will be due at the
commencement of the following Club year.
10. If a member wishes to leave the Club, there shall be no refund of fees paid.
However, if the Club is dissolved for whatever reason, a partial refund of fees
shall be paid if at all possible.
11. Visitors are welcome at the Club, and on the FIRST visit are not expected to
pay a fee. On the SECOND or subsequent visit, a subscription fee £3.00 per
visit shall be charged, and after 3 such visits it shall be deemed that they
have sufficient interest in the Club to become a Member and fees become
due.
12. Members shall be expected to treat each other with respect and
consideration, behave in an appropriate manner, abide by the rules, and not
bring the Club into disrepute through their words or actions.
13. Members of the Committee shall always act in the best interest of the Club
and its Members. The Committee has the right to end membership if a
member does not comply with the rules of the Club.
