1. Double check formwork and steel reinforcement properly.

2. Confirm availability of the right equipment.

3. Confirm excessive dust is screened from the coarse
aggregate material.
4. Confirm size of aggregate is satisfactory and as
specified.
5. Confirm stone chips is made of crushed stones or bolder.
6. Confirm both fine and coarse aggregates are from all organic and
deleterious materials
7. Confirm laboratory test result coarse and fine aggregates i.e., silt test and
compressive test.
8. Confirm compression test result for coarse aggregate not below 36.1Mpa
9. Confirm sieve analysis is done and result forms kept safe
10. Confirm the correct type of cement is used i.e., 32N,42,52, etc.
11. Confirm the correct size of coarse aggregates is used.
12. Confirm cement test result are availed and kept safe.
13. Confirm use of clean water free from salts other impurities.
14. Confirm mix proportion checked and confirmed and materials are
measured according to the ration proportion.
15. Confirm slump test is done to check water/cement ration.
16. Confirm concrete cubes are prepared to for laboratory test and
compressive test results obtained and kept safe.

17. Confirm water is poured into the form surface and steel before concrete.
18. Confirm height of free fall of concrete is within 1m to prevent
segregation
19. Confirm compaction is properly undertaken, vibrator is place vertically to
the concrete at least 15minutes after placing.
20. Confirm vibration is stopped immediately the laitance of mortar is seen at
the concrete surface
21. Confirm concrete surface is kept wet till striking off formwork.
22. Confirm movement on concrete is avoided after placing.
23. Confirm concrete surface level is well maintained on floor slabs and
footings.
