Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are continually improving and becoming more pervasive in many

facets of our lives. One recent example is ChatGPT, a chatbot created by OpenAI with a conversational
artificial intelligence interface. ChatGPT is one of the most cutting-edge artificial intelligence
applications, and it has received a lot of worldwide media attention. In this sense, this study uses a
qualitative instrumental case study to explore ChatGPT in education, among early adopters. The survey,
which was conducted in three stages, shows that the public conversation on social media is generally
favorable and that there is enthusiasm for its application in educational settings. However, there are
