FREQUENCY AND RELATIVE FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTIONS FROM
RAW DATA:

Procedure::
1. Go to Stat >
2. Then Tables >
3. Tally Individual Variables Select the appropriate column into the Variables: box.
4. Choose one of the options from the results that can be displayed. – Counts- (i.e. frequency), -
Percents- (i.e. relative frequency)

SIMPLE TIME SERIES PLOT:

Procedure:
1. Go to Graph >
2. Time Series Plot >
3. Simple. In the Dialog box that appears, place your cursor in the “Series” box and select “DJIA”
from the list to the left. Under Time/Scale, choose “Stamp” and select column C1 (“Day”) in the
box labeled “Stamp Columns.” Click OK twice.
4. You can select the numbered days shown above the line and delete them to obtain the line chart.

LINE PLOT FOR CATEGORICAL DATA:

Procedure:
1. Choose Graph > Line Plot > With Symbols > One Y.
2. In Function, select Mean.
3. In Graph variables, enter Strength.
4. In Categorical variable for X-scale grouping, enter Operator.
5. In Categorical variable for legend grouping, enter Machine.
6. Click OK
