Marigold's Vocabulary

1. Sterile- As I hear my alarm clock go off in the morning a sterile wave of emotions hits

me.

2. Abstract- Occasionally, during school I doze off and fail to imagine a series of abstract

ideas.

3. Incongruent- Many times throughout the school day I feel my thoughts are incongruent

with others.

4. Nostalgia- A wave of nostalgia about the good old days in elementary school hits me

each morning.

5. Prosperity- Each day I try my hardest in school to hopefully lead me to prosperity in the

near future.

6. Amorphous- After a while, the school day starts to feel amorphous and repetitive.

7. Meager- As I walk around the hallways and through the doors of classrooms, I feel

meager compared to other students or classmates.

8. Deprived- I feel bad for the kids around the world who cannot participate in school

because they are deprived of much of their ideas and opportunities.

9. Imminent- As the clock hits 2:00 pm I think of the imminent end of the day.
10. Elude- Some days during the school day I think about baseball to help my mind elude the

thoughts of work.

11. Inexplicable- Early in the morning I sometimes think certain school topics are

inexplicable.

12. Reverie- A reverie sometimes takes control of my mind during school.

13. Stupor- A stupor is inevitable during the school day.

14. Retribution- At the end of a school fight one might feel the need to inflict retribution

upon the other.

15. Stoic- Many students walk to and from classes stoic.

16. Revel- At the end of the school year a student might revel the newly experienced year.

17. Incite- Unfortunately, each school day certain students incite poor behavior.

18. Malicious- Each school year a malicious act has unfortunately occurred.

19. Exuberance- On Fridays a wave of exuberance hits me for the fun weekend ahead.

20. Degradation- A few days after I received a bad grade the degradation I once felt faded.
