The Malacanang Palace defended President Rodrigo Duterte against the commission
on audit after his opposing remarks about the C.O.A.’s prohibition in spending funds
on items amid disaster. For further information here is Loveprit Aguinaldo.

Malacanang defended President Rodrigo Duterte’s remarks after assailing the

commission on audit’s supposed prohibition on Government spending more time on
giving items during disaster.

Ilocos norte has already been placed under the state of calamity after the typhoon
ompong affected the province. But the commission on audit proposed a prohibition
government spending on some items during disaster.

Rodrigo Duterte commented that C.O.A. has no contribution to national development

after the ilocos norte governor Imee Marcos that C.O.A doesn’t allow cash
advancement for the purchase of building materials because of the destruction that
Typhoon Ompong has caused the city.

Roque, the presidential spokesperson said that the president only expressed his
concern on spending limitations with regard to the delivery of humanitarian
assistance in times of crisis.

APEC member economies reaffirmed it’s commitment to 10% up high in supply-chain

performance by 2015, in terms of reduction of time, cost, and uncertainty of moving
goods and services through the Asia-Pacific Region.

Leaders focuses on expressing concern on trafficking of endangered and protected

wildlife species. On the other hand, the news was formally announced at the end of
the 20th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Economic Leaders meeting, Vladivostok,
and Russia.
