23-APR-20: AIRPORT – NEGOMBO

Route: Airport/Negombo Drive: Approximately 30 mts drive one way

Meet and assist on arrival at Airport by Aitken Spence Travels Representative. Proceed to
Negombo and check in at hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure.

 24-APR-20: NEGOMBO – DAMBULLA - SIGIRIYA

Route: Negombo - Colombo Drive: Approximately 1.5 Hrs. drive one way

Excursion Time for Sri Kailasanathar Swami Devasthanam Temple: Approx. 1.5 hrs.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Sigiriya.

On route Visit the Sri Kailasanathar Swami Devasthanam Temple.

Sri Kailasanathar Swami Devasthanam, or Kapikaawatha Shivan Temple as it is also called by its
devotees, is the oldest Hindu Temple in Colombo. Dedicated to the gods Ganesha and Shiva, the
temple has been around for over two centuries. It’s also one of the most beautiful temples in
Colombo. The temple was built in Maradana, Colombo by a group of Indian Chetti traders
known as ‘Thiruvilanga Nakarathar’ who moved to Sri Lanka for business two hundred years ago.

Excursion Time for Dambulla: Approx. 1.5 hrs.

Afterwards proceed to Dambulla to visit the Dambulla cave Temples.

In the city of Dambulla lies a hub which has been treasured by many kings since the 1st century
B.C. Today, an icon in the face of Sri Lanka, Dambulla Rock Temple houses some of the most
unique drawings in magnificently constructed 5 cave temples flanking the golden temple of
Dambulla. Observe how exquisitely cave paintings are done along walls that shelter 150 statues
of Lord Buddha. As you enter the retreat, look straight up to the gigantic Buddha statue
glittering in gold over a land, which today houses an important junction in the country's
economic and cultural uplifting.

After an early breakfast at hotel proceed to Sigiriya to clamber the Rock Fortress.

The 5th century rock citadel of King Kasyapa and World Heritage Site - Sigiriya - doesn't
only boasts of ancient Sri Lankan engineering & urban planning supremacy but also
acclaims to be one of the finest monuments of art & culture. Step through the gigantic
'Lion Paws' - overlooking the symmetrical royal gardens below - to comprehend the
absolute splendor that once dominated this rock fortress. Surrounded by ramparts &
moats the Lion Rock - resembling the mythological 'City of Gods' - is coated by frescoes
that relate to Gupta style paintings found in Ajanta caves of India. Walk in the shade of
an eminent 'mirror wall' embracing the Western face of Sigiriya representing an artistic
hundred meters laminated with graffiti. Wander into the well-fabricated museum
downstairs for an epic journey of yesteryears to realize how the citadel floated above
citizens with the castle, ponds and irrigation systems that pumped water right onto its
summit with an ingenious hydraulic system describing a colossal masterpiece of the
great king which remained a wonder in Asia for centuries.

Excursion Time for Kandy city tour: Approx. 02 hrs.

Upon completion of the clamber proceed to Kandy.

Excursion Time for Nine Arch Bridge: Approx. 02 hrs.

After breakfast at hotel proceed to visit the Nine Arch Bridge.

It is located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. The surrounding area
has seen a steady increase of tourism due to the bridge's architectural ingenuity and the profuse
greenery in the nearby hillsides.

Popular rumours suggest that when construction work commenced on the bridge, the Great
War began between the empires of Europe and the steel assigned for this site was reallocated
to Britain's War related projects at the battlefront. As a result, the work came to a standstill,
leading the locals build the bridge with stone bricks and cement, but without steel.

Excursion Time for Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda: Approx. 01 hr.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Negombo On route proceed to Kosgoda and visit the turtle
hatchery.

Both locals and international volunteers battling it out for ''Sea Turtles' Sake'' is a common sight
at Kosgoda. This vibrant tourist destination sitting calm along the Southern coast of Sri Lanka -
apart from its traditional industries of fisheries and cinnamon cultivation - was later recognized
by the Wildlife Protection Society who studded the region with a Sea Turtle Conservation
Project which operates on a formidable scale today. Indirectly, this has become a watering hole
of flipper & shell enthusiasts!

Upon completion, proceed to Negombo and check in at hotel.

The official check-in time at all hotels will be 1200hrs - 1400 hrs ( depend on the hotel).
The official check-out time at all hotels will be 1100hrs.
Hotel Check in/Check out times are fixed and there are no guarantee for early/late check in /out unless
paid for.
