1/ Town : fewer than 300 000 person )‫(البلدة‬
It is the first rank of urban settlements and the link between rural and urban
communities, and its primary function is to provide services to the surrounding
rural communities.

2/ Smallest cities : 50 000 to 500 000 person )‫(مدن صغيرة‬


It is the highest level in the town, as there are more services available than the
town.

2/ Small cities 500 000 to 1 Million person )‫(مدن صغرى‬


It is a multi-functional city "administrative, commercial, and major transportation
points“ “Metropolis” , which makes it a "service center" that provides services to
its residents and the surrounding settlements.
