Q1. List four other strategies that can limit the spread of communicable diseases.

Answer

i. Cover your coughs and sneezes so you not spread the gems to others.

ii. Keep your distance from sick people so you don’t get infected.

iii. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth since hands might be contaminated.

iv. Avoid touching wild animals and infected domestic animals.

Q2. What is the difference between vectors and parasite.

Answer

Vectors are living organism that can transmit infectious pathogens between humans, or from
animals to humans whiles parasites are organisms that lives on or in a host of an organism and
gets its food or benefits from harming the host in the process.

Q3. Give the bacteria that can cause the following

i. Gonorrhea- Neisseria gonorrhea

ii. Chlamydia – Chlamydia trachomatis


iii. Syphilis – Treponema pallidum

Q4. Explain the differences between the following

i. Cold: Is a viral infection of the nose and throat.

ii. Catarrh flu: is a build-up of mucus in an airway or cavity of the body

ii. Hay fever: is an allergic reaction to airborne substances such as pollen.
