Activities
As a class we will review Maria’s case study. Maria has come into the doctor’s office with a concern of a
lump on her breast. Students will watch a short video to see the process of gel electrophoresis. After,
students will analyze a gel electrophoresis that has been done for her and other family members. Once
analyzed students will create a pedigree chart explaining to Maria her family history.

Instructional Strategies Assessment
