FORD LETTERS

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION

1. Introduction

This document describes the technical requirement for the onboarding of the
letters (Ford) to eStatements.

1.1 Purpose

Ford letters are currently being sent via post. Such letters need to be sent via
email to the intended recipients those who has opted for it.

2.1 The Overall Description

1. The product house (Ford) delivers the source file to CSF by every month end (attached)

2. Based on the file received, CSF looks for the account number in CRS along with the preference
indicator set and returns value back to CSF.
 3. The ‘02’ record details the customer information, where the field highlighted below is the CIF
key

4. The letters which goes out via print (Sample Attached)

5. CSF will process the file further to XCOM with the indicator CRS returns as Post (P) and email (E)
6. XCOM will drop the file based on the preference indicator it has received from CRS either for
print or to the eStatement batch engine
7. The agreement number in pdf is referred to as an Account No in CRS
8. The Ford call center is serviced through 0860 667 667. Same team as AVAF just serviced through
another number

2.2 System Specifications

1. SQL Database – The relevant table and columns will need to be created in order to
accommodate the entries for the letters
2. MongoDB - Any work required? (No work required)
3. eStatements batch engine must accommodate the new files and process it which will be
dropped via XCOM
4. XML tagging details need to be sent to Vickie
5. Qtool
a. A new category type is required as “Letters” so it is easily segregated and available
for quick search
b. Access is required to the consultants to resend the eLetters
c. Qtool backend and Front end – It has to use the new table
