Day 4(WEEK 4) 3RD QUARTER
I. Objectives:
Content Standard:
Demonstrates understanding of useful strategies for purposeful literacy
learning.
Performance Standard:
Uses strategies independently in accomplishing literacy-related tasks.
Learning Competencies:
EN1PA-IIIa-b- 3.1Give the number of syllables of given words.
II. Content:
“Number of Syllables”
IV. Procedures:
A. Reviewing previous lesson.
Singing of the song “Old MacDonald had a farm”.
Pupils sing and dance while they pass around the three balls.
Those pupils holding the balls at the end of the song will be the
sharers of the day.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson:
Teacher:
Today, you are expecting to give numbers of syllables in the given
words.
C. Presenting examples/instances of new lesson.
Show pictures of places in the community.
Posts label for each picture on the right side of the board.
Post new list of words on the board. Let pupils count the syllables in a
given words.
G. Finding practical application of concept and skill.
Group Activity:
Group 1: list the first name of the member of the group and count the
syllable.
Group 2: list the last name of the member of the group and count the
syllable.
VI. Reflection:
A. No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation.
B. No. learners who required additional activities for remediation who
scored below 80%.
C. Did the remedial lesson work? No. of learners who have come up
with the lesson.
D. No. of learners who continue to require remediation.
E. Which of my teaching strategies work well?
F. What difficulties did I encounter, which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized material did I use/discover which I
wish to share with other teacher.
